It's kind of funny how folks get bent out of shape when you start talking about their idol and hero. They get all tight and twisted in their happy parts. Even if Prince did use botox (which he does), why is that negative? Why is that looked on as a bad thing? It's pretty evident he's never had plastic surgery of any sort. He doesn't have that "OH WOW" surprised look like half these old crows on the red carpet at the Daytime Emmy's or something.

And isn't it a bit hypocritical of people to bitch about me, or whoever, mentioning botox - yet they're the same ones who say "OMG Prince is looking his age!" when they see the First Avenue photos when Prince didn't have much makeup on and his wrinkles WERE showing?!?! Yes, Prince is getting older and he may show some signs of that - he is human, after all - but still it is true that he is in great shape and does not seem to get tired of performing live!!!

I would figure Prince could not get Botox because of his religion. Botox contains a small amount of albumin which is a blood product.

I totally agree with both of you. Ever since I joined this fan community I have been wondering why some people who post are even here ... considering all the negative remarks made about Prince. If I do not like someone or don't like their music, I would never join a fan community website dedicated to them! It just doesn't make any sense.

I'm not saying we have to worship Prince and whatever he does, but appreciation and respect is the least he deserves!! He must be one of the hardest working artists out there, and he has given a lot to his fans over all these years! Which other artist shares new music almost every year?? In his concerts he still gives his best, as far as I can tell. And which artist plays an additional show after his main concert, as Prince often does with his after shows?

And if for no other reason than these just mentioned, we should be grateful he is still active and he still enjoys making music and performing! I saw him in concert this year, after a long absence, and he made me an enthusiast all over again, real easily!!

That is exactly how i feel. But I've learned it doesn't really matter here. Whatever Prince does its always going to be critiqued here and he is always going to be picked apart here. People here don't appreciate him at all. Its going to take his death for them to understand what they had like MJ. That is why I hate Prince fans because there mean & unappreciative. They never give him his props. I wish the moderator will just shut this site down or rename it IhatePrince.org because that is what it is.

Again, it's indicative of a larger problem and that is the neutering of Prince. Period. It doesn't matter what your intent is because, like I told you before, delivery is more important. But people in general on Prince.org tend to be one of 2 camps - 1) overtly critical, nitpicking, and flaw-finding or 2) overboard fanaticism. Rarely ever do you find people in the middle who have the presence of mind to let the man live and not worry about whether he has had botox (again, which no one on here can prove - Mind reader, maybe not, just like no one is his plastic surgeon here).

I second that! I"m amazed at how so many "fans" criticize the man they claim to love. I know everyone has their own opinions and everyone will find at least 1 thing they don't like. But some people really make me wonder if they really are fans, since all they say is negative stuff about him. To me, if you just think "he's old and washed up" or "hasn't had a good cd in 20yrs" then why the hell are you still here? I am still a fan after 23yrs because I love his music still and am truly blessed to have him as an inspiration. If I lost interest in him, I'd move on. That will never happen though. I see why Prince acts the way he does to certain fans...they don't show him any love and support and if I were him, I'd back away too! He needs constructive criticism that comes with love!! He needs our support if he is going to continue to put out great music. I hope he sees his real fans and remembers how much he is loved. One thing about MJ fans, we loved that man and he knew it!
