You never know, Prince might end up doing a one-off distribution deal with WB for his new project, the same way he has done with Universal and Sony in recent years.

I mean, the people running WB these days probably weren't even at the label when Prince had his problems with them damn near 20 years ago. There's no reason for him to hold a grudge against them.

Especially if WB wants to push a new project along with his catalog work.

Do u honestly think this a goal of Prince's?

Unfortunatly, you have people on this board who really think that P will be on mainstream radio again at 52 years old. You know along with all the other 52 year old on the radio. (LOL)

Maybe, maybe not. I believe radio time still has an impact on sales and marketing. Plus, when is the last time you saw Prince with a new video on MTV?

As for 50+ rockers? Madonna... Santana... Jagger.... its 50, not dead.

We are all so full of doody here

nod I soooooo agree! And "Housequake" is one of my favorite Prince songs, though I haven't even tried to listen to it in years because the sound is so awful in comparason to the fidelity of music produced these days.

I'm scared. I'm scared for both Prince and WB. I don't want him to go back to his enemies, and I don't want him to be considered a sell-out and/or has-been to the general public. I think LOtUSFLOW3R was his 2nd best album yet, and I still can't wait to hear more music of that calibur from him, but I fear that signing back with those Whigs may bring him back to his old drum machines and cheapen his quality with a lack of real instruments.

I know that synthesizers are part of his signature sound, but not when they're too overused by new and untalented artists out there.

This is probably an irrational fear, but it still chills my bones.

Prince, if you are going back to the Dingos, take even more charge than you have in the past!

this will be good news either way

Totally agree! If Prince actually showed up at WB Headquarters, it's all about a TON of money going into his pocket, and music being released (new or remastered old... or BOTH!), otherwise he would have just sent his lawyers. And WB will be grateful for whatever pennies Prince throws them to seal the deal, because record companies are in the toilet right now. And you best believe, WB is gonna have to kiss his royal ass before Prince will agree to anything.

That's it: Prince wins! lol Prince held his ground and now is about to blow-up in a very big & lucrative way!

I think this is real good news. Everyone has to learn to forgive. Maybe Prince has decided to throw in the towel and really sit down and iron out a deal, to ultimately get his masters back & get those old catalogs remastered.............With MJ gone now & ranking in over 800 million in a years time. Maybe Prince has finally woke up. Time is too short to hold a grudge nowadays.....

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

It still sounds good on the original vinyl. cool

Prince 2 get his masters back. most probably, that's the deal.

Prince to release material from the vault?

Prince to sign a multi million dollar deal?

Sound Interesting.

Anyway if he gets control over his music he may change the lyrics from sexuality 2 spirituality,

Gett off 23 scriptures, Sexy mf 2 whatever.

could be positive could be negative could be nothing.

I hope this is just to clear up some old business.

All that shit he talked about WB, seems kinda pathetic to go crawlin back to a former employer for a new deal.

I rather doubt he "crawled." rolleyes

If a deal is done, it will benefit everyone. With any luck, Prince has gained enough maturity to see that.
