I am talking about the former HQ members on this thread who are not being supportive at all, but who are bashing the org and spreading misonformation themselves. You misconstrue my post when you claim I am not. They are bashing the org for no good reason and are claiming HQ didn't do anything wrong for it to get into so much trouble. HQ tho' was constantly attacked by Prince because it wasn't playing by the rules. It violated his copyrights for a long time with unauthorised material such as videos, which was a plain and simple stupid thing to do. The org never did the same and therefore never got into the same amount of trouble and hassle as aaron did. He may have pulled the plug himself, but - like he always stressed himself - he wouldn't have if Prince would have stopped harrassing him. Prince didn't because Prince takes down any and all copyright violators. It's time for HQ members to face the music. Your site is dead because you shouldn't touch Prince copyrights. There is no good reason whatsoever thent o come here and bash this site. If they want to improve the org then why don't they start their own "quality" discussions instead of just bashing it with misinformation. There is nothing positive or "in depth" about these posters. They are just negative. Trem, if you have been around long enough, you know that at least since the dawn of the "collective", fansites that didn't comply with various requests and demands from PP have fallen left and right...HQ was far from the first. That is what I mean when I say misinformation. If you need the links I can orgnote them to you. Furthermore, one look at the org photo gallery tells you that they have also been the recipient of threats of action for copyright infringement as have individual members posting from their photobucket accounts. That's what I mean when I say misinformation. Third, the org criticism that you complain about on this thread is not coming exclusively from ex quakers and this isn't the only instance where I have seen people criticize this site...far from it. It happens in site discussion, p&r, etc. and usually comes from folks who have never had anything to do with HQ but are apparently sick of wading through nonsense threads. Lastly, the thread starter was asking what was so super spectacular about housequake and some people chose to answer by using comparisons instead of just answering the question. I grant that they could have chosen their words more carefully, but this site is full of peeps who lack appropriate communication skills. You are not one of them...which is why I'm on your butt and not theirs, 
Bottom line, there is no rivalry between fansites or individual fans unless people choose to make it so. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. | |

If I had known what a bullshit filled thread this was going to turn out to be I would have kept my question to my damn self.Goodness gracious I had no idea people would be so damn touchy about the subject!Its not like I am out to bash anyone or any site I just wanted to know what HQ was like since it is legendary and I missed out on it.All of this Org Vs HQ crap is not necessary at all.Why can't we just be grateful for the org that we have and leave the hate out of it.Damn! | |
