My view on the song...pretty simple. It is what it is.
Is it the best fight song I've ever heard? No. Is it the best Prince song ever? Hell no! Does it matter? Not really. Because when it is all said and done and this thing washes away, forever and ever in the quirky thing our Purple friend does, we will ALL, yes...WE WILL ALL say, with a smirk on our faces, "Oh man, remember when he did that FIGHT song?". And yes, since we are basically doing that now, it has happened already. But we are talking about him...and that's what he wants ultimately. I don't really care one way or another. Do what ya want, ya know? Make a fight song, not make one. Whatevs, As long as he is doing what he wants, I'm sure that will be the case. But the only thing that is gonna get to me is the constant talking about it. Not on here, but in the real world, where everyone knows I am a rabid Prince fan, and they will be there, waiting to either question me about it, get my opinion of it, or bust my chops about it. i didnt hear about this until today in my history class cause everyone is a vikings fan..so i decided to look it up cause my teacher said it really sucked and i wished i hadnt looked it up..i dont mean to be offensive or anything, i am a big prince fan, but i guess im only a fan of his decent material..this sounds lke something i would be FORCED to play in pep band D: What is your main problem?

Apparently Prince fans are not aware of him being a JW and being a very religious person today. The way he created this song was as intended. I'm not sure what people expected to hear. People really need to separate today's Prince from who was in the past. He has changed musically and Ideally. There should be a new section of these forums called "80's&90's Prince Discussion" I very much enjoy Prince today, if you don't that's fine but go punch a pillow or something instead of coming here ONLY to say negative things about him. oh please  the lotusflower album [title disc] is one of the
