true, it doesn't make me want to "fight! fight! fight!" exactly. it certainly does not reek of a locker room vibe. it does not even remotely resemble some of the other fight! songs posted here. in fact i think we can say it is more than a few standard deviations from the fight! song norm.

then again, imo as sports go, football is one of the wackier sports. there is room for a bit of deviation here, imo. i still don't really understand what inspires a bunch of giant people to suit up in padded football uniforms, then go out on a field to get a running start and deliberately smash into one another

so, imho, i think this is a perfectly lovely football song for the vikings. right now, i am working up a choreography for the vikings to do a funky gold and purple dance, alongside the new song, at halftime on sunday

First time I listened to it I did not like it at all.

But I gave it more than one chance and listened to it several times, just the chorus, and now I can say that to me is a very nice song for the purpose it's been made. I repeat: for the purpose it's been made.

I started singing along and it sounds really nice. It's fun to sing, got a big sense of humour on the high note first "long reign". It's so high and unpredictable I always laugh when I get to this point, of course due to my incapacity to do it right. Try to sing it.

My opinion... I like this song and I think it's very nice and suits the purpose it's been made for.

i like this song, in fact i am feelin it a lot it is a classic fight song like the ones from colleges way back in the day, and it taps into the era of the Vikings, going to war, knowing the victory will come but knowing there will be a fierce battle to obtain it the reduced music and pushed out flute and pound drums make the feel of the viking voyages for war come forward in the song

u guys give it a few listens, remember that this is a fight song, not a rallying cry, a fight song, imo, should keep in mind that there will be battle, destruction, and impending tragedies, this song has that feel ....

a fight song should also declare determination and belief of the outcome, this song does that as well

, NO, this song is not "Start Me UP" to be played before they kick the ball off, this song is the one you play just before the national anthem, it is in that same vein NOTICE how are country's national anthem is not so much of a jam either...

I guess opinions differ wildly as can be seen from the cussing, yelling and shouts in favour of and against this song (Mostly against i admit ).. How ever just went to google and typed "Fight song" and woila the first result itself is related to Prince...
