Just added The New Power Generation: Get Wild (Miami Mix) (5:42) – available from NPGMC in August 2001, tentative placing under 2001.

But then, by the same token, the George Clinton tracks should be removed as well. I like having them on my list because the songs are out there on bootlegs whether Prince was involved with them or not (most likely not), so you can place them in the continuity of things. Well, I just purchased Rosie Gaines' Try Me album from her website. It would appear that sóme of the bootlegged tracks in the list have been released on that one. I'll do some comparative listening and report back with my findings, so stay tuned for that.

Now go to Rosie's website, contact, and email her that we want the Concrete Jungle album from 1993 as well. [Edited 10/26/09 17:36pm] Mmmh... A few weeks ago the website announced that Concrete Jungle was 2 b released on CD... What u say about "Hit U In The Socket" being the same version in "Try Me" and the NPGMC version is a shock 2 me: i bought "Try Me" when it was released a few years back and my version of the album has the old, 1993 version on it Has Rosie changed the album configuration ever since??? (which would not make any historical sense since the NPGMC version WAS recorded much later, at the earliest in 1998). R u sure u're trippin' on this one??? BTW I didn't 4get about our private emails, i just couldn't find the time, sorry, but i will soon [Edited 10/26/09 18:02pm] A comprehensive Prince discography (work in progress) : http://princediscog.blogspot.com

Has Rosie changed the album configuration ever since??? (which would not make any historical sense since the NPGMC version WAS recorded much later, at the earliest in 1998). R u sure u're trippin' on this one??? Well, I listened to the two versions back to back and they sounded the same to me. But I didn't get the NPGMC version straight from NPGMC, so maybe I've never heard the NPGMC version, then? So I put the 2000 entry back in the list until the matter has been resolved. But the original version of Hit U In The Socket without horns remains unreleased, but it should be on Concrete Jungle if it ever comes out. [Edited 10/27/09 12:23pm]

The NPGMC version of Hit U In The Socket was indeed different from the Try Me album version.

Do you think From The Lotus..., ...Back 2 The Lotus, Colonized Mind, Love like Jazz and Wall Of Berlin, which all feature Michael Bland on drums and Sonny Thompson on bass, were actually recorded at the 11-12 tracks Power Trio session in November 2004 that spawned 3121? And what about Closer 2 My Heart and First Love? They feature Michael and Sonny too. Please discuss. No one knows 4 sure about that but i'd tend 2 say "yes"...
