don't get me wrong, i love all the gossip and speculation but i can
also see how it gets boring very quickly if nothing materializes on
the site.

all the site says is "january", we're only on day 20. this is less of
a nerve wrecker than releases in the past where we'd be teased for at
least a few months before anything dropped.

still feel that it will be jan 31st, looking back at prince's past on
the internet. that is kind of silly tho. why not say february then and
have the site running the first day of feb.

saying jan and having everyone wait to the last possible second is so
irritating lol.

I'm an old-school Prince head. I know that I have 2 listen 2 everything several times before I form my perspective. As a musician, that is one of the things about Prince that I love the most.

Also, my #1 reason for believing that this is more of a fan generated phenom vs Prince really exercising his mind with puzzles and ish is that when he really did surprise us and played a game with us it was very cut and dry and the answer came out in the end (very quickly).

What is this I speak of? The surprise show in NYC, I think it was, when everyone had to find the club or the band or whatever it was. The chase was based on the movie "Nick and Norah Infinite Playlist."

That was a riot and lots of fun!

To be fair, there's not that much of a puzzle. We got the date of 31st Jan on the ticket when we register It seems reasonable that should also be the date we see the albums for download.

It's hardly a surprise though. A surprise is unexpected and out of the blue. These releases are neither of those things. Anytime they come now won't really be a surprise. If he didn't have any teasing and just sprung them out of nowhere, now that would have been cool.

When I logged on to find that there were 5 new songs to track down and listen to, that was a surprise and a damn nice one. Now it's just dragging, now I need a date to anticpate the goodness.

now, we don't know when where how and what. and that's frustrating.

My guess is Prince does a live web concert on Saturday night at 8pm from his house in LA to launch the new site and that $77 dollars in the membership fee that includes access to downloads to the 3 new cds. Wishful thinking anyway...
