What's the deal with making women bleed?

I have noticed this now is three different songs

I Want To Melt With U- "Don't look now, but there's a river of blood
U must have been a virgin"

Bambi- I know what you need, Maybe you need to bleed"

Turn Me Loose- "I'll just make you bleed"

Any other's?

Sho Nuf!!
I don't want your money
Cuz I got all I need
All I want is to rub your body, until you start to bleed

I think the "bleed" is a metaphore for "Cum or Come". Not meaning that our man P wants to hurt or damage a woman. the other thing with bleed is the virgin aspect or being celibate for a long time. Yes girls, if you don't do it in over a year you will be come revirginized! Sucks don't it?
Anyway First time making love, bleeding might occur. but shit, that's only if UR rough!
Prince just dirty and we love it!!! razz razz

Ummm, finally a thread I can get into! (just kidding).P has always fucked with sexual violence themes. It's ALL over the 1999 album and that 82/83 period in general. If he wasn't talking about bleeding, then in the line "Don't Worry, I Won't Hurt U..I Only Want To Have Some Fun" To me, I always took that he was telling his woman "Relax, it's not going to hurt. I just want to try this." THAT'S how I always took that line to mean. Why else would he tell her "Don't worry, I won't hurt u"? I could go deeper but I won't. Ooops, ...nevermind.

Extra Loveable has it's moments. So does Automatic and of course "Lady Cab Driver" with visions of sexual violence. Not saying he was forcing himself on Jill in Lady Cab like he says in Extra Loveable but...I link that to the "Don't Worry" line. It fits with the whole s&m, whips and bondage, "don't make me rape u" to "Don't worry, I won't hurt u" to J.J. moaning thing that makes up that 82/83 period. So yeah, in all that..there will be blood.

Experience is the key to me. I've never really been into virgins. I like a woman that has been "there" before. A woman that knows what she's doing.

Yes. I think there was an obvious S&M kinda theme running through a lot of the circa 1982 stuff and especially 1999.
I think something that you pointed in one of your 1999 themed threads was the line in Little Red Corvette
"A body like yours ought to be in jail" with the word "chains" played at the same time as "jail." I guess the line was SUPPOSE to have jail as the dominate word, but I always heard chains more than jail. shrug Anyways...
I mean, thats some shit right there, putting something that creepy into such a major, mainstream song. But just like I said earlier, he's a crazy MF.
And then theres the video for Automatic, which from what I understand, got banned from tv, that just throws it all out them and waves the bondage in your face. (But the video kinda flips the image the song creates. The song leaves you with the impression that uh...somthing is happening to Jill.)

But, he just seemed to be all about extremes. And that bleeding theme is about as extreme as you can get w/o going into Extralovable territory.

And, some women actually like hearing shit like... that might also be a factor...lurking

I think Prince shows a desire for power over women in a lot of his songs. The idea of taking one's virginity demonstrates a lot of control, as he's the experienced lover in control with a nervous girl. It shows insecurity.
The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Not this one . . .

Blood is usually a stop sign for me.
There was a time when I stopped and dude wanted me to keep going. It didn't seem to bother him, which bothered me, a lot.
I had to bounce.
All this was before any intercourse . . . (hand action, if you get my drift . . )

Well I was wrong about that, but she isn't married..

In 2001, she became engaged to John Minoli, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, and married him on November 9, 2002. They divorced in 2003. Easton has been a single mother to her two children since and currently resides in Las Vegas. smile

Damn ..u actually remember my 1999 themed threads?...That was quite awhile ago Tora.... Cool.... Good memory. But yeah, that's what always blew my mind about that album. The cat was NOT fucking around when he made that record. He's got so much going on that still to this day, I don't think many people are hip to what he was doing. Or saying. It's his best album to me, without question. And one of the best albums to ever be released in "pop" music.

Isn't this a true case of where Prince is not trying to be literal -- I mean, the big "R" ? I highly doubt -- he means he can't stand it anymore and he's about to do "tear it up" "knock it out" "break it off" you know all of those phrases. lol

I want to but..I gotta really pick my words...Dig, I wrote a thread on here a long time ago about this very phrase that opens up the song 1999. Only in that thread, I asked everybody what did they think P meant by that line. From memory, only two people posted what I thought P meant. Which is pretty much what I alluded to in this thread.
