Books about Prince

Good morning to U'all!

I searched the org finding not so much about books written on Prince. If somebody could please post a list of all of them, I'd be happy.

I know a few do exist:

Prince: a documentary (by Per Nielsen)

Purple Reign (by Liz Jones)

Possessed (by...?)

Slave 2 the rhythm (By Liz Jonse, 1997)

Could U please indicate the year of release of the books?

Thank U!

Slave 2 The Rhythm and Purple Reign are the same book with a different title and cover.

The only other one I can think of that you missed off your list is Dance Music Sex Romance by Per Nilson. It was published a few years back but only covers the first decade of his career.

Probably the most in-depth and interesting of the lot though....

I would be interested in buying
the David Morton Book

Prince- a thief in the temple (2007)

or the James Perone- the words and music of prince (2008)

has anyone read either of these? any reccomendations on which s better?

The Morton book rehashes alot of old material found in other books and is generally negative about Prince.

I have just read the Possesed book and found it interesting. However once again it presents Price as a pathetic freak by the end of the book. It also rushes and skips over Prince's achievements. Alot of the people sound bitter who speak about him. It would be nice to read a balanced book that studies the good things Prince has done in his life and career e.g. his attempts to help other artists, managing to stay at the top of the game in a highly competitve music business.

I have the 1984 Paperback (PERIGEE BOOKS)
Titled: PRINCE By: Steven Ivory

I also have another thin paperback..and it's somewhere in a box. I wish I would have read some of these books about Prince...I just have to say, that it was just never my priority...somebody or something else needed my attention. cool

Everyone on here,

THANKS for your help.

Now I need a complete list of these books, showing the authors and year of release.

Anyone?

Update!

No need help anymore! Housequake.com did it for me.

Thanks anyway.
