best thread I have seen in a long time, interesting and humourous.
I first heard the "Dont worry....., I only want you to have some fun" when i was 14, at that time i gave very little thought to the context of the line or the way it was sung, it was simply, come on lets party. However, last yr, during the O2 stint, i listened to this song more often, and this line really stuck in my head, i realised it could have a totally different meaning, and this thread has struck a chord, Damn, I think i will have to listen to the entire album Now, then again i used think that the closing line was "Mommy, why does everybody have a bum?" maybe that is the connection with the anal thing, although, I would find it unlikely, as this topic has been avoided by Prince in all his music. However, the bondage theme, was a consistent theme of his output and persona right up untill emanicipation. Maybe, the question we should ask ourselves, is, does Prince sit at home and think this out, or does it come naturally.
