I love Prince buuttt

he does some things which REAALLLLLY irks me, but no matter what i'M gonna be there for him (through supporting his music of course) even though I'm not going to agree with everything he does professionally lol...

what scares me are the fans who would still love Prince even if he skydived off the roof of his house bucknaked landing on some nuns and masturbating on top of them while proclaiming he is a monkey i don't know if that is love or cult devotion but I'm not hating in case any of em want to stab me

I have never met him, though our paths have come close. I have no idea how hard it could be to work with someone like this ... though he has a lot in common with Freddie, as far as I can tell. But I felt very lucky to see this piece of living art, a thing of beauty. Incidentally, one of his daring masterstrokes on the night I saw him was a version of Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love. The Artist, stap me, did Jimmy Page and Robert Plant all at once, with an easy confidence and effortless heaviness, and obviously huge affection, and we all got chills up the spine. Soon it will be possible for a lucky few to see the Mighty Zeppelin in the same arena, but the place is already echoing with the pre-echo of that moment, thanks to this diminutive Hendrix-James Brown-Stevie Wonder person ... a whole spectrum contained in one body."

I have been a "prince-head" since 1983, I have been through liking,then loving, then denying, then disliking, then missing, all the way back to really enjoying this crazy funkyazz black beauty we call Prince. I can try to go away, but I always come back because he's worked so hard to deserve my respect and support all these years. Prince will never give up on his fans, he does enjoy our love, so we should not give up on him

Honestly people are so ignorant of Prince and his music its shocking.

Like, when I told people I was going to London to see Prince they were all like 'er Prince, why would you want to see Prince' I am 23 so I want even born when Prince's early stuff was coming out so maybe they are shocked by the fact I can like someone who was around when I was a baby. Or when I say I like Prince the usual response I meet is 'hes weirdo'-yet you only have to listen to his songs to realize hes exactly the same as the rest of us-so I guess people who think hes weird judge him by what theyve heard about him or read, not from actually listening to his music.

But most people dont even know half of the stuff Prince has done, I have made it my mission to educate those around me like my mum for example- In Britain we know nothing compares to you because Sinead o Connor sang it not because Prince actually wrote and sang it himself- my mum now actually prefers Princes version!!

The man is a genius the sooner people wake up and realize it the better.

I think to some extent Prince is enjoying a bit of a resurgence at the moment with his 21 night in London-everyone who went to the 02 has been blown away by his show.

But its good that I am unable to judge PrinceS success with what happened in the 80s-Im discovering his music now in 2007 and for me it kicks as much arse now as it probably did then.

Its funny that when I was growing up in the 90s there was this boy who lived around the corner and he proper loved Prince-we were only about 12 or 13 and I used to be one of those kids that thought he was weird for liking Prince-just shows how ignorant people can be-now I am a lot older and wiser!!
