Has grown into my favourite on the album now. Good to see him trying different vocal styles.

It's a real grower - Wendy and Lisa harmonies are great and it feels like a revolution track in parts!

The Lion of Judah....yet another religeous song form Prince wrapped up in a pretty pop package most of the folks on this forum that hate when Prince says anything religion oriented don't even know it becuase they are so ignorant

In any case my only problem with the song Lion of Judah is his vocals. This song is about having strength and detrminationa and faith...yet Prince is singing in this girly weak almost frail voice until of course until the end of the song...where he starts singing in his normal register. Talk about an opportunity missed to reach folks outside of the "Prince" world

oh yeah and this song is nothing like Money Don't Matter Tonight...except the vocal or the way hes siging....Othersiwe the song can't be more disimilar

It dont bother me if he sings about his belives or religion....
What i hate...is in his live shows when he starts preching..insted of singing
Love Life,
Love God,
And Only Do Drugs You Need

Best song on the album... the frail vocals are totally intentional at the start, just listen to the lyrics.

Well...I'll see if I can comment on this one without calling people ignorant. disbelief

This is another one where Prince put a little more thought into the lyrics and I'm always happy when he does that. I like the guitar on this one too.

Pretty good.
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

yeah, i like that a lot about this whole album that on most
of the songs his vocals sound slightly different from stuff
on most of his other albums.

it's a very good effort to sound different all of the time
and still come up with these vocal styles now after he did
so much stuff already.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

It is also growing on me, but still, anyone else thinks this has a very unusual kind of melody?

I am no musician myself, but i think about the sound of the black keys on an piano, instead of the more full sounds of the white keys.

I think the religious references are as obvious as those in Let's go Crazy were, we don't tend to mind though cos its Prince. I was at Wembley in 1988 when he got the whole crowd singing God is Love Love is God - I'm no Christian but I joined in!

And actually the melody( not song!) in parts is very similar to Money don;t matter sorry mate you need to check again!

You said it. This track is AMAZING. It almost sounds like it could have been on Purple Rain. LOVE IT.

It has that deep vibe that only Prince can give you. Amazing.
