You can laugh, but the first thing I thought of was the song Sugar, Sugar which not many people besides myself and Prince would remember. lol

The next thing I thought was that this song wouldn't be out to place in a Frankie Avalon/Annette Funicello movie...somebody bring me my surfboard and let's do the twist!
Love it!

lol

Probably My favorite track, Chelsea is close so its a toss up. I like the twangy guitar and for some reason it reminds me of the Beach Boys but i don't know why.

Now I've heard this song in HQ I love it even more. Its like a paint by numbers Prince pop song, and with the awful lyrics it really shouldn't work, but for some reason it does - very infectious, and very catchy. Love the way he drops his falsetto harmonies in at the end then hits us with a guitar solo.

I see why some people said Shania Twain, the country guitar riffs throughout wouldnt sound out of place on one of her records, but there's more creativity in this track than you'd ever get on one of her records.

Without question the catchiest thing he's written in years, and should have been the lead off single.

I love this! The riff is really good, sounds like something that could have been on D&P to me.

"Sugar Sugar" as in the Archie's song? Yeah I remember that song too. giggle

This song reminds of a track off the "Chaos and Disorder" CD. I like it, very nice danceable track.

OK so I kind of dissed this song slightly, when I first heard it.

After listening 2 the album song 2 song, in CD quality, it fits well on the album, and it's very well done. It is reminiscent of his flirting with AOR rock in 1987, but also hints back at the Dirty Mind era.

It is perfectly arranged, and the parts R played very well. It does work like other songs on this album, where their sequencing makes them work.

Well, having heard this song, the guitar is a little reminiscent of twangy early '60s 'surf guitar', popularised by the LA surf bands of the time.

That kind of guitar sound is used on one or both of the instrumentals on the Beach Boys' 'Pet Sounds' album. The tracks are respectively called 'Let's Go Away For a While' and 'Pet Sounds'. So, maybe you heard it there - or maybe not wink.

Not my favourate track on PE right now, but 'tis ok. smile
