I just hope and wish that he played a complete and beautiful version of
Around the World in a Day!

Really I don't care whatever songs he choses to play as long as they are
not the ones he's played to absolute death yet and as long as he plays a
complete version and not just snippets or a few lines here and there.

I just noticed the setlist included "Adore", wow, he sang that too? That would have been nice if he sang that in Vegas and at Butter, but I'm not complaining biggrin . I'm sure Entertainment tonight will talk about this afterparty tonight or tomorrow. Remember for the purple ticket party, they didn't mention anything on there until about 2 days later.

I just watched ET and thought it was a big disappointment!!! They kept making references to Prince and then they would show a clip of the concert, BUT instead of hearing Prince's music you heard some other music that the editor must have decided to put in! It was annoying! I couldn't tell at all what he was playing or what it sounded like! mad He was wearing a black and white outfit with the 3121 logo. I couldn't tell if it was the same one he wore to the NAACP awards waaaaayyyy back. Could anyone else tell? I did think he looked hot though! razz

I saw the ET thing Monday night too.. I felt the same way as you did!
Why didn't they show MORE of his performance.. He looked great and it
looked like he was really having FUN! smile
They said it was 2+ hours!!!! biggrin
I will tape it the next few days tho.. maybe they will show more about it.
I need a Prince fix BAD.. sure wish he would do some more TV stuff..

The music ET played over Prince's performance was Fall Out Boy's "Dance, Dance." I wonder if that was an ET editor's decision or part of Prince's "agreement"?

I watched it earlier and I wasn't shocked that they didn't do the coverage justice though I thought we would hear a little more music from the show but I agree with the person who said it was totally wrong that they played someone elses music (it was Fall Out Boy) over Prince. But the little crumbs that we got, made me real ready for a full balls to the wall show. It's past time that we get a full tour.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

How could anyone make out the music to know it was a fall-out boy song? All I heard was some white noise. (then again I have no idea who fall-out boy is/are!)

well if it helps, "forever in my life" was played quite a few
times since 97-98-99-00-01 etc and it's always just the beat,
followed by "everyday people" over the same beat.

he hardly ever really sings "forever in my life", which is why
i am soooo praying that he will go back to performing songs,
instead of snippets and occasional lines and loops.

all you could really hear was "dance dance" which is the one song they are kinda famouse for right now. but man that was ODD to have them play someone else's music over Prince (or anyone for that matter) like that! I've never seen anything like that before...very strange.. I'm wondering if it wasn't somekinda agreement or something...I mean to have all that hype and purpleness about Prince to then NOT play the live sound?
Mary Hart did seem to have some kinda issue with her lips! LOL! not sure if she was just over doing it or what?
"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok
