Maddonna has made $300.00 the standard price for her concerts over the last few years. look, i posted that pic to show that i can fam out with the best of 'em. and believe me, i have. and i wouldn't see madonna even if she only charged three bucks and had the chops of kate bush on amphetamines. i dig some of her music, but i don't geek out over her. but if other people do, that's fine. i'm just saying that for me, what i read in reports about the vegas shows didn't justify the price of the tix and the airfare it would have cost me to schlep out there. that's ME. have i broke the bank to see prince in the past? you bet. and i got my money's worth and then some. my argument is, to a madonna fan, i can see how they get their money's worth from her shows because the production values are so over the top. believe me, i'm happy if prince comes out with an acoustic guitar and sits on a folding chair for two hours. in fact, i'd prefer that. other people might think that's a bit minimal for the price of even a seventy five dollar ticket. it's all relative. | |

Now he's their own private minstrel show. But then again thats the Prince we love full of contradictions. Well, I wouldn't go so far as to saying that. That doesn't seem like P allowing anybody to force him to be anything like that. He just does what he wants to do because he can. I'm sure he gets a lot of requests from celebrities. I see no harm in it really, because Prince isn't going to send out a questionnaire asking fans where he is allowed to play or who to play for. Fans just miss him doing tours I guess, now that's just my humble opinion. Furthermore, if he does a tour right now, the first thing everybody is going to say is that "he must need the money" because of the divorce. I doubt that seriously if he does. If that was the case, he would have needed it 5-6 months ago,when he was promoting Tamar, he could have headlined the show "Prince w/special guest Tamar" and could have charged us an arm, leg, knee and some ears, but he didn't. It only cost $31.21, and although it was Tamar's show and P was the special guest,it was great knowing a fan was able to see him there. . Now the prices for Vegas is a different story, and I have no regrets about it. | |
