Since the 1st thread grew sooooo long.....



By now, you've certainly seen the recent developments plastered on the main page of the Org and other Prince fan sites. Whether you agree, disagree, or just don't know what to think about what's going on, here's your place to express thoughts, arguments, questions, and whatever else you may think is relevant to the situation.

Just one thing: KEEP IT CIVIL.

Don't those whom agree with Prince's actions see the irony in being able to express their viewpoint on this site?

Okay, so, on Part 1 of the thread I basically said I hated Prince.

I have collected my thoughts and feelings and would like to say that is not true.

The truth is I do not understand what his goal is and I think that will be revealed or made clear eventually.

I reacted with anger mostly because I do not want to have the social interaction and discussion aspect of the Org roster of friends and strangers lost in the process of Prince doing whatever it is he is trying to accomplish.

I still think he may be overstepping some boundaries and cleaning his shoes on OUR rights as far as legalities are concerned - fair use, free speech. Those are our rights! Remember that, y'all!

hmmm.....I really hoped a less confrontational approach
would work, but I trust this site, and extreme circumstances require an extreme response. Therefore, I'm behind the site's decision 100%.
If nothing else, I have loyalty to Prince.org.
As far as Prince's music, I've already purchased everything, so there's no bargaining chip. He has enough $$, so it doesn't matter to him.

On the other hand, there can be bad associations with artists, for example:

Karen Carpenter.....bulilmia, anorexia
Lead singer of INXS Michael Hutchance....weird ass asphyxiation in the bathroom while doing sexual stuff.
Michael Jackson.....ped.....

Prince.....he's currently filling in the blank.

I wish it weren't so.


I still maintain, WS is a hired organization...don't shoot the messenger.

Such a very sad day ~ I can't even listen to his music right now. He will gain control, as many here have correctly assessed, but the Princedom will be quite a bit smaller with all of us gone.

I never thought I'd say this and I have been a fan for over 25 years but I am really starting to dislike the guy.

The more I think bout it I say just drop him, remove all content let him have is way. It's obvious he DOESNT want us as fans anymore, so why should we WANT him. Let him move into his Xanadu and fondle snow globes for the rest of his lonely sad paranoid life.


The org will survive in one form or another, Id say just concentrate on a backup plan so if/when the boom is lowered everyone knows what new site to go to.

let's come up with what P.R.I.N.C.E. can stand for and drop the Prince:Music and More forum

PS: sticky part 2's suck ass. since we're able to set the number of posts that are displayed per page, what's the point in starting a new sticky? if you really want to read what it's all about, you have to go through the first thread anyway, so why bother starting a second one?
