Whether you agree, disagree, or just don't know what to think about what's going on, here's your place to express thoughts, arguments, questions, and whatever else you may think is relevant to the situation.

..i think its rather unfair, but hell prince will do what prince will do.

I'm happy with what Ben et. al have decided to do.

I think i would like 15 mins alone in a dark room with him.....he will probably be nicer,more respectful and would probably have a shiner.....but none the less the "little man" would be a "little" more respectful of the people that made his ass what it is.

click the big hand graphic on the main page...beneath the press release, you'll see a link to avatars and banners you can use.

There is nothing we can say or do, that will make Prince change....he is who he is. The general masses stopped buying his cd's years ago. didn't stop him from being the way he is. He's an ass to say the least, but I still admire him...and would not like to ever ask him to change.

Have you asked any non-Prince fansites for support by having them display banners? If Prince sets a precedent for closing down his three biggest fan-sites, it could have ramifications for every artist fan-site hosted on servers within the Western World.

Have you directly contacted other artists for their opinions? Was the Press Release emailed to the newsdesks of all the major music publications?

Well i feel you have to challenge it morally. Legally Prince could have images removed, but cannot stop people discussing him. I would suggest dropping the name Prince in the ORG title, if thats what had to be done. It seems if Prince can shut down or at least regulate certain things he will force people to go to 3121 and discuss him, where of course his moderators can control what is said. Lets face it this is all about control, he not losing a dime by people going to these sites, no one is downloading his music, no one is selling illegal material. This all reminds of back in 1997-99 when all that stuff was going on and sites were shut left and right. But my advice is to FIGHT THIS, taking away a right of people to discuss you is ILLEGAL and Prince and his lawyers would be laughed out of court on this, and he would not be looked on too kindly by his peers.

Now while I dont particularly care about any of the other things...DONT DARE tell me I cannot post pics of art on my own body!!! If Prince has a problem with that then his cheeky purple ass can call my house personally and he and I with have a rather large discussion about this because NO ONE can copyright a persons body without permission!!!
So as much as I am A dedicated fan I have to say that I am NOT happy at all and if he happens to glance at this he can orgnote me for my number and I will tell him exactly what I think!!!!!

i'm glad i never got a symbol tattoo. next thing we know, prince is gonna have his goons chasing fans with carving knives, demanding we give up his copyrighted imagery from our flesh. i'm too vain for all that mess.

Prince is ridiculous. It's been a good 15 years since he made any art worth protecting. Prince, go make some great music instead of suing the people who have been supporting you when no one else gave a damn.

I'm sad, hurt, and confused. But then again, I also expected something like this to happen. It's like he's building a fortress around himself so that he won't get chomped on like other common celebrities do. However, he's attacking fans in the process. I love P to death and would never stop being a fan, but....I feel like now I have to watch everything I do, say, post, or create. A lot of his songs describe my moods perfectly. A lot of his songs go well with the low-budget projects I've done on youtube. But now since I have to be wary of losing my accounts and my money; I feel like more of a prisoner being watched by the secret police than I do a happy, expressive fan. This really has become a sad sad day for me personally. I DO have other artists I love and can use for projects, but....it is Prince that comes to mind first. I get the feeling something is really eating at him esteem wise for all the hooplah and lawyers to come up. I've got nothing against him protecting his image, but....wow....this seems like a bit much on the hardcore side. Is he going to sue the gang at Homestarrunner.com for their recent Halloween Cartoon? One of the characters recently dressed up as Prince. I wanted to post the pic here but now I cannot. I fear putting this site in deep trouble for that. I'm almost afraid to wear purple now....
