I realised quite a while back, it wasn't really Prince that made me,( after over 20 years of following him and going to his shows across worlds and different continents), finally get sick of him...

I know! If only more people understood what this meant to the listening experience there would be a lot more fuss made. The most madenning part is that it's pretty much all music today and to cure it is such a simple task. Literally one turn of a knob, slip of a slider etc. Nothing that would take more than 2 seconds. I am baffled how professional audio engineers can let it happen.

But hey, the org doesn't care that all of their music could so simply be made better so I'll try to say nothing more about it in this thread.

having the option to always go back to you account and download again is a

service that, i think, itunes provides, right? i'm not sure.

but that's just a service, not everyone has to do that.

to me that's like losing your physical cd and going back to the store with

your receipt and getting another one. no one would ever think that was

reasonable.

same thing with buying a cd in stores is that you rip it and put it on all

your different devices. with the option of downloading the song 3 times

from the website, you can actually put it on 3 different devices.

I just had a thought. What if 3rdeyegirl is just testing the waters to see what feedback certain things get, for example, the download limit. If 20pr1nc3 launched with this system he might see it as losing face to go back on it, but do it on 3rd eye, see people hate it, then do the official site without it.

Same thing with the shopping experience, they don't want to force membership but people that haven't given a username seem to be having troubles, which can then be ironed out for the official launch.

So 3rdeyegirl.com = 20pr1nc3.com beta? Maybe he has learnt from previous bad experiences on the web?

I enjoy a good moan every once in a while. In some threads I moan more than others. Especially when bitrates are low...

Do you really think fan's moaning keeps Prince from releasing stuff? I think he knows that you can't satisfy al the fans all of the time. He just releases what he feels like, without thinking about his fans too much.

welp...I waited a whole day and my transaction still said "pending" on 3rdeye girl, so I click the "pay" for it button and it says it's already been paid....so I click to go back to my cart and then it says "canceled" grrrrr!

I really do want to pay for these songs Prince but....it seems you don't want me to. I have them now, that I did not pay for. I will try again to pay for these files, I may even try 2 more times...but after that I will just enjoy my free copies.

I've always had good luck with Prince's websites....until now.

"Screwdriver" rocks, but do yourself a favor and get the 'Lotusflow3r' CD, which is part of a three CD release. Now THAT rocks... the entire album.

Who said you can't discuss the music? You have chosen to complain instead of adding anything to any discussions!

There's very few here who haven't got the music and the majority seem to like them. I love the songs, Breakfast Can Wait, is not so much my cup of tea but the rest is awesome. Bring on more I say.

Don't confuse wanting the music to be presented as well as it could be with not liking what's happening.

Good recommendatino, Giovanni. Lotus is one of his best works, IMH(Humble)O, and my favorite of his albums to come out since Gold. Get it off of Target's website, EnglishGent. I think you can get it heavily discounted there.
