This is what happens when graphic designers think they can make websites. When you set out to make a great website, start by looking at the best WEBSITES that are out there, not the best DVD menu screens.

Leaving aside the numerous technical faults which we have to assume will get resolved in time, the site is still a bit of a mess isn't it?

I'm sure it is perfectly usable running locally on the designer's Mac, but as a live internet site... yikes. The loading times are frequently measured in minutes, not seconds. It's all so stuttery, with such rotten framerates, even on quite a well specced computer. The layout is so messy, it's an unholy blend of all the very worst of Prince's interactive efforts - Interactive, The Dawn, NPG Music Club etc.

It suffers heavily from "mystery meat navigation" too - what will clicking on the pyramid get me, or clicking on the building? Is that thing clickable?

The sad thing is, someone charged Prince a lot of money to make this site, a site which literally no one will enjoy using. We'll put up with it to get to the music or concert tickets, but it is a horrible site to actually navigate.

btw...regarding being able to re-download tracks, I've found that with my Amazon mp3 downloads, I can't download them again either without repurchasing. I haven't ever bought mp3s from other sites, so I don't know if that is now a 'standard' or what.
