lol Nu I got up at 6:15am and thought "right before i walk the woofers I'll joinn this dang new site mayne!" wink But like you I was completely confused by the "unlock the login puzzle. I'm looking at the screen with sleep encrusted eyes, thinking huh?. And we are the ones with brains! I had already clicked on the boombox and TV and thought oh cute, Prince is pretending it's 1986 but did not make the connection. I am officially blaming tiredness lol

Like you I am underwhelmed. The preview reports gave me a mental picture much closer to a 3D world like Interactive and NPGMC 2003-2006. I'm sure over the next 12 months I will get some good content for my money (i was a bit annoyed to have to pay another few quid for shipping for the T-Shirt, AND I said I wasn't bothered about it but thought it might be a collectable in years to come god I am so weak-willed sad )

Oh Prince, I hate U cos I love U. lol

BIG KEEF! why am I STILL up from this madness! I have to say MPLSound turned out to be a whole lot better than "There'll Never B" and the opening to "Chocolate Box" let on... Dance 4 Me & Old Skool Company are the jams! I haven't even had a chance to digest Lotusflow3r yet... but I have been a downloading, unzipping, extracting fool lol.

And at least you GOT the t-shirt... in the madness to switch browsers and sign up securing the "NuPwrSoul" name LOL! I missed the whole tshirt offer! sad

Not enjoying the site, it's too much like hard work. Why he can't just have something straightforward with links for music, videos etc. I'm 39 and have a job and a family, I've got an Xbox for playing games on.

Loving the music so far though.

You don't look that old! wink

I gave up on the site. The offer is crap. I'm sure a torrent of new music will come out in other ways! lol

I was hoping MPLSOUND was going to be better than expected (the press reviews so far hinted as such). NuPwrSoul's comments are getting me excited for that one now. Well I have my link to a rar extractor so once I am home again this evening, I'm going to download the 2 other wav albums burn them to a CD and get listening. cool

Nothing of worth on offer.

Shit. Where is the new world of interactive entertainment?

i don't get why this whole thing had to be "3D" and so graphics heavy
when in effect it offers absolutely 0 extra entertainment value.

instead it's not easy to navigate and after the first "ride" it's more
boring than having to sit through the EXODUS segues after 14 years.

the site could have simply been a store with 3 nice lay out pages for
each album, including some pdf artwork and lyrics.

another page for the video files and some pictures.

because that's all that there is anyway. what is one supposed to do to
find updates? go through that whole nightmare again? what are we, three
years old?

managed to download the albums and i'm happy with those.

the rest of the site offers nothing new.

the very least they could offer by way of "exclusive" content to those
who join is mp3 files of the video's for stuff like the brits or the
superbowl halftime. instead we get so-so quality video streams.

but beyond that the site is completely empty. so what's the use of the
"highly interactive" world?

i clicked on a bird, that's all the interaction that was required. the
rest was NPGMC mansion style quadriple boredom.

Ok so on my third trip into the site I am starting to enjoy it more.

I think a lot of the initial frustration was warranted, what with it not working on Safari to log in, then not downloading on Firefox were bugs that should have been ironed out before the release but hey it is what it is. Glitches happen - frustrating as it was.

As for what is being offered - the albums take a while to download - but then that comes in with the higher sample rate of the recordings so for quality again its forgivable.

The videos - while seeing some of the old clips on here is to be expected its still a tad disappointing. The newer clips from Cochela etc still are a bit start stop, and unlike a youtube interface that lets you pause while you load the whole file before playing, this functionality is sorely lacking making you have to endure a stilted performance.

Maybe this is an issue due to the site being flooded, but even now 9 hours since it's launch whilst improved its still a tad glitchy.

Bugs for sure which I hope will be quickly sorted out either through greater server bandwidth or through natural dropping in demand.

Hopefully the site will be refined so that we can all enjoy the potential it has.

hmm, maybe.. but there is nothing there to enjoy, once you have downloaded the music?

Not happy.

I don't see how anyone can claim it a waste of money after only 12 hours of the site being open, who knows what is going to pop up over the next year.

It hasn't offered $77 worth so far but we've got, what, 364 days still to go?

I have a question. I live in Belgium and signed up on the site, but I didn't read the last page very good and do they sent automatically sent the T-shirt and take the shipping costs or do I need to activate it somewhere?

And I thought I red somewhere that I would get an e-mail after I signed up but still didn't have one. Or did I misread this one?

Thanks in advance.

I think we need to give it time. There is a lot of potential once the bugs or streaming of content gets ironed out.

I expect part of the grand plan is to continually roll out content and hopefully allow some downloading of the video - especially in HD.

basically, it was just a "bad" launch.

the videos are so choppy, they need sorting real bad. not many people are going to have skynets as there pc's lol so, hopefuly they get it sorted. i cant use the whole site on the ps3 so i can only visit it via someone elses pc which also got me mad. the only satisfaction i have is the 3 new albums and the knowledge of the fact that there is now an official site which has potential.

other then that, i had a nightmare lol!

oh, and the fact that the chocolate box video was just a snippet was annoying too.

I have a horrible suspicion that European fans have been excluded. I saw nothing either.

It did for me - i ordered Medium - and shipping to Australia was $7.

Maybe they are running out of sizes and choices so just assigning them now.

But they're claiming that this overwhelming catalogue of live videos and exclusive pics are the bomb. All of the pics are from 21 nights and the videos are appalling quality. If they think it's acceptable to launch a $77 site in this state, then I fear for what else is to come over the course of the year.

Video quality/streaming sucks
Most video's are official release's/seen b4
Navigation is weird and messed up at times
Limited pictures

So I hope PRINCE can give us access to the VAULT.. fo' real

Let's face it we didnt expect to sign in and see the 3 new albums plus a vault of unreleased material, what I do expect, however, is an agreement that I will have my $77s worth over the year.

I value the rubbish pictures at zero and the albums at $12 as that's what they will be in the shops, so I've still got $65 to paid for, if by Christmas there is nothing new other than three live clip videos and a picture or another version of Raspberry Beret, then I will have a right to feel pretty annoyed, for now, I'm just dissapointed we couldnt have had a normal website that isn't like a maze and the need for a IT degree just to listen to the songs.

Of course a couple of live boots, unreleased CD's and HD concerts to download and we'll all be very happy.

I am on my computer at work. The videos are still choppy and it is just not playing right at all. I can't seem to watch them on my home or work computer. Not sure how they can fix it, but I really wish I could watch the videos clearly. Another thing, when you're in one world you have to surf around to get to the others. I guess it takes patience to figure it out. I was in the lotusflowere one, but couldn't just switch to mplsound or Bria's.

But the main thing is, that his IT people need to make it where the vids are not "choppy" at all. It's a fairly new site, so I'll give them a chance to work it out. I remember when they had the 3121 site and P put up a video and it played just find, not sure what program they are using for this one.

Nobody is mentioning what is on the site, you are all complaining..lol There is another thread for that. This is to tell us what the site looks like. I will not pay for it, so I need some info..lol

Why are you guys whining anyway, you knew the site would be wack. Prince is a millionaire, to him 77 dollars is a small bit.

I am also not surprised that he will charge for 'premium' material, which must mean the vault stuff. 77 dollars and you all still have to pay extra for the vault..lol
