Well, you know despite my worries, I'm going to be there! Buy a BART ticket and go, don't you know! BTW what holiday is on Monday? I can never keep up... NORCAL should come out in droves...come on, all you Prince fans! biggrin

I will be there for both shows from Fremont. I am just waiting to see what the stage set up will be also so I can decide which tickets to buy since there are 4 different price ranges. I checked craigslist to see if anyone had any advance tickets and they had suites that hold 20 people for $2500.00. Never been in there suites so dont know if they worth it.

^^^ Hell no, suites for $2500! Unless you have a whole busload of people so you can split it! As bad as ticketmaster is, stick with that! Just scope out the best locations for the money and go for it! lol

Actually on craigslist now, there is a ticket dealer with tickets for all sections with really high prices. Wonder if he knows the stage layout?

No way that ticket scalper knows the layout! And if you buy tickets from him, he will take your scalp with him!

US $281.80
Updated: As of 2/17/11 on Ticketmaster, prices are showing as:

US $47.25 - US $238.00

US $47.25 Ticket + US $13.25 Fees =

Elijah, I just took a look and have to say the prices and the reflection of the seats are very much a bad dream. Am I looking at the wrong site? $ 281.80 where would we be or how many miles away are we from Prince? It looked like the furthest balcony behind the next level. I got prices of 1500. for a floor seat. If that's the prices, I am going to pass!

I'm trying to decide on which night to attend. I can only afford one show, assuming I get the highest priced tickets with the hopes of the best seating. I can attend either night, but I don't know if it would be better off to wait for the second show so I can know which seats will be the best. I am also concerned about tickets selling out. I would be absolutly heartbroken if I waited to get tickets for the second show and they sold out. I was hoping to get some advice from all of you prince fan who have been attending his shows for years. Do the tickets for the second show also go on sale tomorrow at noon, or is that just for the monday night show?

Both shows go on sale at the same time. You either have to pick one, or get a friend with fast fingers to help you with the other day.

It's hard to say how quickly these shows will sell. The short notice makes it tough for some.

Actually I couldn't tell you because I'm not familiar with the Oakland Arena, and don't know if the symbol stage will be used, like it was here in NYC. For any concert wherever it is, I usually will choose the "loge" section or "floor seats" depending on the concert.

You could choose "Best available" option for tixmaster to choose the best seat location or you can you can choose a specific section, listed below that on the tixmaster site. When you get to the purchasing portion of the ticketmaster site, and a seat location comes up, look at the seat location on the "seating chart" before deciding to purchase your ticket. If you don't like the seat location, it gives you the option to "search again".

The problem with the seating chart is that no one at the Oracle Arena knows yet what kind of stage configuration Prince will have--whether it is an end stage like the one currently shown on the site or the center symbol stage he used in New York. I just called and Oaktown still doesn't know. rolleyes I'll just have to check back tomorrow before the tickets go on sale. sigh

Interesting. Keep checking www.moquake.com or www.drfunkenberry.com to see if there's some updated info on that there, regarding whether it will be the symbol or end-stage setup. If not I guess you'll have to wait until the tix go on sale tomorrow. But good luck with getting tix. I look forward to reading your report sometime on Tuesday morning.biggrin
