Whats people's opinion on how many walk up tickets will be available? I gotta imagine everyone who wants in will get in. For the three aftershows in '04 (billed as a minicelebration) the $50 tickets were sold well in advance of the shows via npgmusicclub but it didnt really matter. everyone got in and the line REAllY stretched out the gates. AND those shows had alot of the concert crowd showing up. Unless for some reason he's doing it in the small room but i cant imagine that.

anyway, with only 48 hours notice, a price of $40 and Prince still being taken for granted in MPLS, (They'd be lined up already in any other major city) i believe no one will be left out in the cold.

Still debating if i'm going. 4 hour drive but a major commitment sunday morning so wouldnt have any sleep.

I've seen Prince at Paisley Park dozens of times but they are so few and far between i really dont know what to do!

should i go?

Are you from MN/WI? Will someone post when they're able to get tickets from outside of the area?

I think you should go... who knows when he will have another celebration. I haven't been to the celebrations in the past, just been too busy with life, but you must try everything at least once. wink
I am nervous of driving in Minneapolis.. I don't know why, my gps should be good but idk, it can't be worse than NYC, right? LOL

Do you have to be a certain age to get in the door?

The ID is for CC/Ticket confirmation. There is no age limit. Children have been to these things in the past. I've seen babies there, which pissed me off because the noise levels aren't good for them.

I'm wondering this too, because the Lotusflow3r tix opened up again. It's a tough call, because the capacity is 2,000 bodies, but since it's happening on a weekend and if this hits the local papers - there's going to be a helluva line.

To be fair though, Lotusflow3r members deserve first crack(and a hand-job by Bria) at this after being screwed over all year.

Interestingly, the first known case of a sow getting the Swine Flu happened in Minnesota recently. Somebody here's been fucking pigs.

To be fair, the release states that the coat/food drive is for charity. It doesn't say that ticket proceeds are going there...

But it also says $40 at the door and they charged $31.21 per ticket for members, so we got a 22% discount. And considering they are hiring shuttle buses for parking, etc. I don't think this is an outrageous price.

nod So true. When I think what some of us paid for the Vegas shows @ Rio, $40 to party at Paisley Park is a gift; $31.21 is practically free. I've never been there and I'd gladly pay 3 times as much (with a bit more notice).

Safe travels and great time to all who are going. Have a great time headbang

I'm freaking out a little, at the airport now, purchased my ticket yesterday, but never got a confirmation email? Feeling really nervous about getting on a plane, showing up, and getting turned away!

I'd definitely try to show up early then. tickets go on sale at 7 pm so just rebuy them for $40 each if they dont have the record of your sale.

after debating going, the 7 pm on sale time is what is going to keep me from going. not a member of lotusflow3r and cant really leave between 2-3 pm for the 4 hour drive.

I'm really really bumming but the negatives outweigh the positives in going. anyway, have fun all, cant wait for the reports!

I hope you're right! I tried to call my CC company but the payment hasn't posted yet either way (sigh.), but neither has my flight or hotel and those seem to be doing okay so far! (I mean, they didn't drag me away in handcuffs when I went through airport security...)

I wanna go early (my flight gets in around 3pm), I'm just a little worried about waiting around outside PP for hours and hours in the cold sad (Can you tell I've never done this before?)

Do not bother getting to the park before 7pm. It will do you no good. If it will make you feel better, go at 7 and you won't have to worry about it for the rest of the evening.
But I honestly think all will be fine. Worst case scenario you have to buy a ticket at the door. I am really scepitical that it will sell out completely.

Okay smile I'll bring extra cash just in case to buy a ticket at the door, I guess the only debate is whether or not they'll actually have my ticket order. I want to believe that they will!

I have so much to do this weekend but I've never been to PP (Or MN at all, to be fair!) and it just seemed like the right time!

ETA: Yay! The payment for the $31.25 cleared, I guess that's a good sign!

I got three. A confirmation after each purchase (I bought two tickets singly) and another from support because I emailed them about the trouble we were having getting in initially. shrug

So much for that... sigh ... I was so geared up to go, mentally prepared to fly from London to MSP and back within 36 hours, had everything sorted out from tix to PP, rental car and all the rest of it... and then Delta had an overbooking situation due to half-term holidays around here, and we (as staff from another airline) were of course the first ones to get ticked off the list... disbelief

Anyway, for all of you lucky ones that can make it: enjoy the night, I'm sure it'll be great! And I really really really hope there'll be another celebration at PP soon beg
