We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Yeah, U do get that, but after the initial shock -- and planning frenzy (and re-release) I decided 2 go back in and buy another 4 my daughter and although it took my money, and I got another confirmation, there's "... no way 2 differentiate ... I took a chance".

Oh wow! I'm a 6 hour drive away. I'd go for sure if I knew I could get tickets! I saw Prince for the very first time in Montreux this year and it was a dream come true.

if you are a lotus flower menber the tickets are $31.21 or you can pay $40.00 at the door.

Even though I know some of the neighbors didn't like the parties, I'm sure the businesses in the area appreciate a few extra bodies being in the area, even if it is just for a weekend.

Hope everyone has a great time and stay warm! headbang

Also, even though I can't go, thanks to Prince & the gang for communicating here and being responsive!
nod

Just the fact that they opened sales back up makes me feel like Lotus was worth every penny I spent to join.

Now this is something I would have joined for since I always wanted to see P.P., but I can't get there on such short notice. Have a good time people!

I am sure that every event I have been to at Paisley Park has been all ages, yes. No alcohol is served, so they don't check IDs to see if you can drink...

Does anyone know about confirmation emails? I had the site tell me "confirmed" and they charged my card, but still no confirmation email. It's a 12 hour drive for me so I want to be sure before I pack up and make my way to MPLS...

I'm conflicted.

I want to go so badly and will have to buy a ticket at the door, but I have health problems and can't stand outside on line for hours and hours. sigh

Larry will be in the house as well according to someone at his church. I guess I have no real knowledge of what percent will be Bria and Larry but I know they are both involved and being as this is the event that was earlier billed as Bria's welcome home party it makes you wonder.

eek INTERESTING.

I was wondering about Bria's involvement in this. I think perhaps she may finally make her long awaited singing debut.

If you had read any further, you would have see that this is for charity.

To be fair, the release states that the coat/food drive is for charity. It doesn't say that ticket proceeds are going there...

But it also says $40 at the door and they charged $31.21 per ticket for members, so we got a 22% discount. And considering they are hiring shuttle buses for parking, etc. I don't think this is an outrageous price.

nod So true. When I think what some of us paid for the Vegas shows @ Rio, $40 to party at Paisley Park is a gift; $31.21 is practically free. I've never been there and I'd gladly pay 3 times as much (with a bit more notice).

Safe travels and great time to all who are going. Have a great time headbang
