So funny!
Does anyone know how it will work out...like when they open the park are u free 2 run to the front ...so it is it like survival of the fittest kind of thing(lol)like if u run really fast u will be at front???please let me know Reminds me of a funny scheme concocted by the guy standing next to me at the last NYC Prince show . It was packed in the Nokia lobby and the crowd wasn't moving. The guys said to his friends "I have an idea...it will get us right in and it won't hurt anyone. We'll make a line and you push from the back...I'll say 'pardon me, excuse me, they're pushing'...and we'll all get to the front together ". The funniest part is that it would have worked. I signed up. The next group was let in and we all got good spots but I'm still laughing at the fact that they were seriously considering this.

This was posted by Purplebomb over at HQ and I think it'll be helpful for those who are here in NYC for the concert.
FOR ALL THE TOURISTS AND NEW RESIDENTS HEADING TO MANHATTAN FOR THE CONCERT If your are taking the subway to the Park, these are the trains that will take you DIRECTLY to Bryant Park: Here's some information you need to know. 1. If you are coming to the park to camp out after midnight, these are the lines that will still be running all night: The D,F and 7 Trains. All trains run every 20 mins after midnight and run at that schedule till 5-6am. The B and V trains resume service at 6am. 2. If you are not by these lines or you don't want to do any switching, you can take these trains to Times Square which will be 1-3 blocks away from the park: 1,2,3,A,C,E,N,Q,R,W If you are by these lines, they will all connect with the B,D,F,V and 7 but if you want to walk, here's another option for you 3 If you are staying by the 4,5 and 6 lines then you can take anyone of those trains to Grand Central and transfer to the 7 train headed to Times Square, it's last stop. Take it one stop to 5th Ave-Bryant Park and walk through the walkway to the B,D,F, and V and get out of the station at 42nd and 6th Ave. 4. For safety reasons, ride in the middle of the train in the conductor's car which is usually the 5th or 6th subway car. Here is a link to MTA NYC Transit's website: www.mta.info [Edited 6/13/06 20:21pm] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

It will be about 3 or 4 blocks depending on which side you exit GC from. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Then you will walk (west) along 42nd Street to Madison, Fifth Avenue, then Sixth Avenue. THe blocks are kinda long, esp b/t Fifth & Sixth Aves. The NY Public Library (with the famous lion statues) can be seen from the corner of Fifth & 42nd and Bryant Park is on the back side of that. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. otherwise, not likely youll see anything thats not on tv... I don't know...by the sounds of the GMA VIP TIX e-mail all people including GMA VIP's will be escorted out by 9:00 am. bummer..I hope that's just fromality and not concrete...BUT even if true, I don't think it's accurate to say it's not likely you won't see anything that's not on TV...There's a sound check that's not on TV and there are commercial breaks for TV viewers. I'm hoping for the best. "not a fan" yeah...ok

A related note: When Springsteen released his "post 9/11" album (of which I forget the name) he actually came out with his guitar *before* the 8:30 concert and did a few songs.
I can't see Prince doing that, though.

Off the chain!
I only saw "On The Boat" (which I knew he would do), and "Let's Go Crazy", at the end. I missed whatever was inbetween that, but I recorded it. "On The Boat" was a little rough, but man, he tore it up on "Let's Go Crazy". He looked damn good. This new hair style is kickin'. He's lookin' Sign O The Times Funky now. Peace. G. "He's a musician's musician..."

How was it? I still haven't heard this song. G. "He's a musician's musician..."

The sound wasn't so good. The mics were really low. I was kind of close to the stage near the spotlight on the left. I wonder if anyone on the grass further back heard anything at all.

"Get On The Boat" was really rough... Prince's mic was low, his guitar was 2. The band seemed 2 stiff.
I thought "Let's Go Crazy" rocked though. I'll have 2 watch the whole thing later, when I get home. Cool that U were there. The crowd was amped. "He's a musician's musician..."

Sigh...it's sorta sad how little I ever want to hear Prince play Let's Go Crazy again.....if Wendy&Lisa, maybe Bobby Z and the Finkster are on board, then pull it out - FULL version, please. Otherwise, don't you have a couple other tunes you feel proud of, Prince? No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

If the show wasn't broadcast on TV then I think he would have done a different song.
