*EXCERPT FROM THE NEW YORK POST*

Kevin Spacey turned the set of "House of Cards" into a sick, sexual playground — which he used to harass and abuse young staffers, a report says.

Eight people who currently work on the show or worked on it in the past have come forward and accused the Oscar winning actor of misconduct, with at least one person claiming he was sexually assaulted.

They spoke to CNN on Thursday and detailed Spacey's alleged actions.

"I have no doubt that this type of predatory behavior was routine for him," explained a former production assistant, who chose to remain anonymous, as did the others.

"It was a toxic environment for young men who had to interact with him at all in the crew, cast, background actors," he said.

The individual described one incident in which Spacey unabashedly grabbed his crotch while they were driving to the set of the flagship Netflix show.

"I was in a state of shock," he said. "[Spacey] was a man in a very powerful position on the show and I was someone very low on the totem pole and on the food chain there."

While the production assistant refused to specifically say what happened next, out of fear of being identified, he did talk about an encounter he and Spacey had a short time later — not long after they arrived on set.

The man remembered how Spacey had asked him to help bring some belongings to his trailer, which he did. Once inside, the movie star allegedly made his move — cornering him and blocking the exit — while inappropriately touching him at the same time.

The talent agency CAA is no longer representing Kevin Spacey.

"I told him, 'I don't think I'm ok with this, I don't think I'm comfortable with this,'" the former assistant said, noting how Spacey became "visibly flustered" before eventually fleeing the trailer.

The incident was never officially reported, but the worker did tell a colleague who was able to corroborate his allegations. It came just months after he complained to a supervisor about Spacey sexually harassing him, though nothing major was ever done.

The other people who worked on "House of Cards" outlined several other incidents that took place while working with Spacey.

It's all built into the system.

Does anyone honestly think that anything will change after all this "exposing"?

Please.

And the movies have gotten horrible.

And sadly any attempts at "cleaning up" the system will most likely make them worse. Because sadly these creeps knew how to make movies. They were very talented.

I don't think it is just in the entertainment field though.

To all the women who have commented on this post, have you ever been sexually assaulted or harassed at your place of employment?

My hubby and I had a discussion about this the other night, and part of our discussion was how I was sexually harassed at several jobs, even my 1st job at the age of 15. At the time I thought nothing of it and quite frankly the words, 'sexually harassed' were not used then like they are today.

Yes very inappropriate speech was used. I got a job when I was 15 at a local amusement park, lot's of teens worked there but so did lots of older guys, like the mechanics who worked on the rides. Us girls learned very fast who was handsy and we had to wiggle out of some tough spots.

Later after I was married I worked in an office environment and the dress code for us girls was dresses, hose and high heels..always. Of course management was all guys. lot's of those guys were very handsy too. Sometimes we had to go to the warehouse for some old files and climb up a ladder to get to them. We learned really fast on those days to wear shorts under our dresses. Sometimes I think they made us go to the warehouse on purpose so they could get a peek. Mind you these men were married. It was a very small town, and the boss owned half of the town, so he was pretty powerful.

What's frustrating is the things you may tell your daughters to protect them because all the laws and going to jail doesn't unviolate her, but anyway, it doesn't occur to you to tell your sons. So they walk into all situations based on how someone else perceives their free feeling behavior.

Good Point.

I think a lot of parents consider talking with their sons about how to protect themselves and speak up.I think its important to speak with men in general about protecting themselves. I just had this talk with a nephew. Typical guy... "Oh I can handle myself." I had to remind him guys/men disappear everyday on the streets of the US... never to be heard from again. I betcha they thought they could and would be able handle themselves too.

It seems there is no treatment for these asshole abusers - in any profession. Violence/abuse against women happens every 9 seconds in this country. Boys desreve the same protection as girls going forward.

it was how you aligned it with your second sentence that told me how you meant "whatever the case"

i don't see speaking up/out as "going after".

but back to the OP's topic, yep looks like Spacey is a sleeze bag. and has a history of predator

.
And this is what the thread is about talk about Kevin Spacey and the allegations

.

You do know they still have to be proven, right? or do we just hang on speculation and accusation?

Heard of the Salem Lot Witch Trials?

We still haven't learned.

.

In the last 2 years there have been countless men released from 20-30yr prison sentences for rape and the men were 100% Innocent.

Whatever Kevin did that was 'illegal' should be dealt with, but just because he came onto someone on the job 20yrs + doesn't make it a crime.

.

I've said it before, Lou Ferrigno's wife said in 1960 something Bill tried to kiss her and that is scarred her for life. Why would anyone use anything like this to accuse Bill of a crime or judge him a sleeze bag.

.

.
When we use the term 'predator' 'predatory' I think a lot of people are connecting it to almost an active rapist or something. If a man or woman is the 'aggressor' in making moves (whether the object of their desire is/is not interested) does that make them a predator? Because then 90% of people who have been to bars or clubs might be called predatory.

But we aren't talking about bars and nightclubs. We are talking about places of employment, and some of the allegations he isn't just hitting on people, he is physically grabbing them and putting his hands down the crotches.

Yes, I have been sexually harassed at work. Once when I was only 16 (he was married and about 38) and again when I was 18 (he was also married and about 40). Needless to say, I left both jobs very fast. I did think something of it as the one guy asked me to try on the sexy bra and panties he'd just bought for his wife for Valentines day. neutral Pig!

The "someone" he came onto was a 14 year old boy at an industry party. He says it was unwanted and he felt violated.

The Salem Witch trials were a land/money grab flavored with religion and morality outrage. How is this so closely related? Does someone want Kevin Spacey's money/holdings?

The report cites a production assistant who details that he had to drive Spacey to set one day and the two-time Academy Award-winning actor reached into his pants in a nonconsensual manner. He said he didn’t disclose the details of what happened next for fear of being identified, but said that when they got to the set, he was asked to help bring things to the actor’s trailer.

The production assistant then alleges that Spacey cornered him, blocked his ability to exit and made “inappropriate contact” with him.

The incident allegedly happened months after the same production assistant had complained that Spacey was harassing him. His supervisor’s solution was to make sure they never were alone. The harassment stopped, making him feel comfortable enough to drive Spacey on the day in question.

Other members of the production crew told the outlet that they witnessed Spacey be inappropriate with many younger male members of the staff. It was typically done out in the open, in full view of others.

They allege that most on set were aware of Spacey’s behavior, and that it was well-known among the crew. However, Netflix and MRC maintain they were not made aware of any serial behavior on the part of Spacey.

Again, 8 (EIGHT) crew members have come forward. Now people who worked with him in London are coming forward. This is work related, not at a party or bar, or nightclub.

Yes. Roberto Cavazos, who came forward, says he didn't fall for the Old Vic bar career discussion squeezes but said 'others were more afraid to stop him'.
