Do you think the Steelers will hang on to Tomlin if they don't make the playoffs this season?

Tomlin is not on the hot seat

I hope not 'cuz he's my baby daddy, but I'm still not seeing enough Steeler football. Especially on defense.

I'm perturbed, eek

The defense needs to put more pressure on the QB. Need more hurry ups/knock downs/sacks. Wentz looked like a vet and not a rookie QB playing his third game. Would like a healthy Ryan Shazier.

Steelers don't operate that way. Look at all the brutal playoff losses Cowher had.....he still kept his job.

Andrew Luck sacked six times today.....and on 4th & 1, they pass instead of giving it to Gore for a power run. Shows what Pagano thinks of his o-line. Both lines are shit. If anyone should be fired, it's the Colts GM Ryan Grigson.

Yeah but Cowher was still getting the Steelers to the playoffs. Babynoz question was if Tomlin doesn't get the Steelers to the playoffs do you think he will lose his job.

I know the Rooney family hasn't historically operated that way, but I'm starting to see things within Steeler Nation that were previousy unheard of and I'm not liking it.

I'm saying this as a 40 year, die hard Steeler fan.

You think with the time left on the clock New England would try to go into field goal range to avoid the shut out.

Yeah but there was a period from 1998-2000 when the Steelers missed the playoffs
3 straight seasons 6-10, 7-9, 9-7. I don't think Tomlin would get fired if the Steelers missed the postseason but the fans will call for him to be. I liked Cowher but I could never forgive him for bitching up at home against the Patriots in the 2005 AFC championship game. The Steelers were down 31-17 in the 4th quarter with the ball in the red zone on 4th and goal from the 2 and Cowher elected to kick a field goal to cut the lead to 31-20 instead of going for the TD to cut the lead to 31-24 which baffled me and you were highly unlikely to stop Tom Brady from scoring. So when fans talk shit about Tomlin being a bad or average coach I usually bring that point up about Cowher and I was a Cowher fan but he did have 4 playoff losses at home including 3 AFC Championship games.

It makes no damn sense. He did a celebratory shake for 5 seconds. Cam Newton choreographs a 4 minute video and Travis Kelce does the Nae Nae after scoring a TD and neither gets called .

Good points and we're looking good tonight but I need to see a consistent level of discipline over a period of time that defines Steeler football as in years past. The hot and cold from one week to the next is giving me a nervous breakdown.

We clearly have the talent, but the discipline, focus and cohesiveness is not up to snuff IMO.

Even that old church lady Chris Collingsworth commented tonight on their need to get back to basics and I agree.

I love Tomlin unconditionally but Imma need him to fix that.

I was surprised when the Colts almost came back on the Jaguars today.

I like to watch the games in England because the crowd in the stadium gives no f*cks who is playing, they just grab whatever team jersey they can get their hands on and enjoy the game. lol

Eli's in big trouble tonight.....his o-line can't handle that Viking pass rush. Zimmer's 'D' is no joke.

LOL @ Steeler fans calling for Tomlin's head. He coached the team to a Super Bowl victory and would've had two if Mendenhall didn't fumble against Green Bay.

I totally agree with that. Yeah I think people are over reacting to the loss to Philly. Steelers are gonna win more than lose this season.

Meh I'm not one of those Steelers fans that will pin that loss solely on
Mendenhall. There was enough blame to go around. Jordy Nelson ran circles around
William Gay who is much maligned. Our then OC Bruce Arians drew to many damn sandlot plays up for Mike Wallace which in fact 2 of Ben's Int's came as a result
of going to Mike Wallace. On the last drive that could have won the game he kept looking for Mike Wallce while Hines Ward was open on 2 plays. As for Tomlin I was getting a little frustrated 2 seasons ago when we lost a few games to inferior teams but I realized that the team just needed to gel as they transitioned from
the old guard to the new.
