The NBA Finals

Game 6

Golden State Warriors 101 Cleveland Cavaliers 115

The Celevland Cavaliers managed to stave off elimination in game 5 of the NBA Finals by taking advantage of the absence of Draymond Green, who served a one game suspension for accumulating technical and flagrant fouls throught the playoffs. The Cavs also came in hoping for some inspiration from their home crowd, but the same situation happened last year in the NBA Finals and the Golden State Warriors were able to win the title on the Cavs home floor. While Draymond Green was back for this came, the Warriors would be without the services of Andrew Bogut, who sprained his knee in game 5. The big question coming into this game was whether the Cavs could sustain the momentum they built in game 5.

From the very beginning, the answer was an emphatic YES!! THe Cavs stormed out to a huge early lead and led by 22 points late in the first quarter. In fact, they led wire to wire and gave the Warriors fits throughout the whole game. The Warriors were held to a season low 11 points in the first quarter. Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes struggled to make shots, and Stephen Curry got into foul trouble early and would be hindered by fouls all night. Meanwhile, the Cavs were propelled by Lebron James and Tristan Thompson, who had a monster game of his own, finishing with 15 points and 16 rebounds. The Warriors would pull within 10 points in the second quarter, but the Cavs would hold them off to take a 16 point lead at the half.

The Cavs would lead by as much as 24 points in the third quarter, but Golden State would make one more run. Klay Thompson, whjo struggled mightily in the first half, woke up in the third quarter, scoring 15 of his 25 points in the period. Stephen Curry also woke up despite his foul trouble, and they would pull the Warriors within seven points early in the fourth quarter.

Bu then Lebron James took over, scoring some key jumpshots and making a couple of nifty assists to Tristan Thompson to put the game away for good. Lebron finished with 41 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds, four steals, and three blocked shots. Kyrie Irving scored 23 points while J.R. Smith added 14 points. Stephen Curry finished with 30 points but fouled out of the game for the first time in four seasons, and he was ejected later on for throwing his mouthpiece after being called for his sixth foul, which then hit a fan. Leandro Barbosa scored 14 points off the bench for Golden State.

The Cavs did what many fans outside of northern Ohio thought was unthinkable, winning two games to force a decisive game 7 fopr the NBA title. Whatever happens in game 7, history is going to be made, as either one team will cap off an incredible historic season or a prodigal son will bring a title home to a city starved for glory for over 50 years and fulfill the promise he made when he returned to his hometown team.

Series tied at 3-3.

Cavaliers Reportedly Wanted Draymond Green Suspended for 2 Games

The Golden State Warriors got a taste of life without DraymondGreen in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, but if the Cleveland Cavaliers had their way, the All-Star forward would be sitting out Thursday's Game 6 as well.

During an episode of The Lowe Post podcast (via Dan Feldman of Pro Basketball Talk), ESPN's Zach Lowe reported the Cavaliers wanted Green to be assessed a flagrant-2 foul for hitting LeBron James in Game 4, which would have resulted in a two-game suspension.

Tensions between Green and James have been running high all series. Things culminated late in the fourth quarter of Game 4 when Green hit James in the groin after James stepped over him.

The NBA reviewed the play after the game ended, ass

Neither of you can possibly conceive of what a "legitimate win" is so stop it with the
"not a legitimate win." And some people, of limited wit, must place things in "either/or"
without realizing that there is a matter of "and/both" in the world too!

Gamesmanship:

gamesmanship

  • : the practice of winning a game or contest by doing things that seem unfair but that are not actually against the rules

  • : the clever use of skills or tricks to succeed or do something

So if LeBron is a whiny bitch what do you call Curry who threw his pacifier
at a fan. lol And after Curry's wife ridiculous tweet which she later
removed,Dan Lebatard said the funniest shit on ESPN this morning which was
Riley is the most mature member of that family at the moment. faint

I like how we have this ridiculous conspiracy theory when the Cavs win but when the Warriors won everything was good. You can't conspire a 6'8" physical freak
dropping jumpers, slashing his way to the basket with authority, and blocking shots. Dude is a triple double waiting to happen when he touch the floor when he
puts his mind to it. Sometimes he can be out to lunch and don't dominate the game
or close out the way he should but that hasn't been the problem the last two games.

I am disappointed in Golden State. How do you slaughter way better teams than Cleaveland and just GIVE UP a damn series!!! They were LEADING the whole series. Sure Lebron is a bitch and did a bitch ass move but that should be even more reason to kick his ass! They need to bring that shit Sunday OR go home! I don't see how you can just give a away a championship! Its obvious Golden State is the better team, they have the stats and clout to back it up now they need to show it. I fucking hate the NBA I swear I do! They fucking wanted a game 7!

Lebron is a legit talent, no question.

I just wonder what the opposing player is supposed to do when he gets EVERY call from the refs and addition to having to deal with his talent?

Not only just Calls but other players have to deal with him intimidating other players and getting other players kicked out the game.

Lebron should be held accountable for his behavior and he should be held accountable when he breaks rules like everybody else but this isnt the case, thats the problem.

I agree to some extent.

I assure you, if the refs called all of his violations as they really are, he would not be anywhere near as effective.

Being the greatest is not just a skill set, there is a mentality behind it too and I dont like how the NBA places him in MJ category of greatness and "champion" when Lebron does not exemplify that in his behavior. Purposely getting people kicked out of a game just so you can win does not demonstrate that. As the best you should want to play against the best. Lebron is a coward and a bitch. But yes I agree with your post and it might would humble him a bit too.

Cleveland will win this championship......but it certainly will not be a deserving one. The NBA is on a mission to make him something that he is not. Regardless, a championship is a championship. Regardless of how many championships Lebron wins he will never be viewed like MJ, Charles, Kobe, Magic, etc and all the greats. There is a difference between all of those legends versus Lebron and the way he plays and wins. The way he plays and strategizes a win is certainly not all on merit as we can see..... dont care what anyone says. If you the best than SHOW ME that shit don't do petty childish shit because your mad your losing.
