Okay, so I have a question for guys who are hetero and in a relationship (or have previously been in a long-term relationship). How many times do you think you have sex with a woman before you kind of get "bored" with seeing her body. I see how guys lust after Nicki Minaj because of her body but I'm sure Meek Mill has probably seen it all 1,000 times by now. Is it likely that he's tired of her? I've always wondered about this. Reminds me of those Totsie Pop commercials...so, how many times do you have sex before it gets old?

I'd never get bored hitting a body like Nicki's, in every orifice. If she starts letting herself go, then we have a problem.

Less excited? Probably after 5 or so times.

Bored? It's never happened to me. Like others have already said, if you no longer get turned on by her body then it's most likely because something else about her is turning you off.

Empirical evidence[edit]

The original experiments with rats applied the following protocol:^[8] A male rat was placed into an enclosed large box with four or five female rats in heat. He immediately began to mate with all the female rats again and again until eventually he became exhausted. The females continued nudging and licking him, yet he did not respond. When a novel female was introduced into the box, he became alert and began to mate once again with the new female. This phenomenon is not limited to common rats.^[9] The Coolidge effect is attributed to an increase in dopamine levels and the subsequent effect upon an animal's limbic system.^[10]

While the Coolidge effect is usually seen demonstrated by males—that is, males displaying renewed excitement with a novel female—Lester and Gorzalka developed a model to determine whether or not the Coolidge effect also occurs in females. Their experiment, which used hamsters instead of rats, found that it does occur to a lesser degree in females, where the evolutionary advantage of mating with multiple partners is less straightforward.^[3][4]

On simultaneous hermaphrodites[edit]

A 2007 study focusing on the Coolidge effect in simultaneously hermaphroditic species confirmed the validity of the Coolidge effect in freshwater snail Lymnaea stagnalis.^[11]Biomphalaria glabrata, another simultaneous hermaphrodite freshwater snail, does not exhibit sex-specific effects of partner novelty, and thus there is either no Coolidge effect in the species or no difference between the degrees to which the effect is expressed in the respective sexes.^[12]

I guess it all depends on the woman. Not just her looks but how you communicate with each other, the way she is, the way she treats you, how open minded she is and so on .

It can take pretty long, sometimes years, but sometimes it can happen very fast if she´s annoying.

Good advice there. I've heard about a lot of women who claim they do "everything" to keep their husbands happy, even with stuff outside of the bedroom but they still get cheated on anyway. So, this feedback from the guys so far has me really puzzled.

Your question seems to imply that the female is responsible to make sure her boyfriend does not get bored with her.

Why?

Isn't that a two-way-street?

If the guy is solely inspired by porn movies, I get bored very quickly. If he knows how to seduce me and create sensual tension, I will not get bored.

From every dude I've known this is the most honest answer. Yeah, yeah, guys say, "only if she keeps her body up" and all that crap...but really, even if she didn't and it was like stated above most are still down - even if the physical attraction is waning.

I know guys like to act like endless opportunities to hook up with willing smoking hot women is just a wink away for them but...that's just not reality.
