1. Option: Got house? Got a yard, cut the grass.

2. Option: Get a bike

3. Option: Stop wasting your money on a gym membership, putt your feet to pavement. Wall everday pick a time and walk. I don't wanna hear about its boring... listen to music and walk at a brisk pace. It need be, get in your car, mark off 1 mile. 1.5 miles, and 2 miles. Walk 1 mile for two weeks, extended to 1.5 miles for 3 weeks, after 6 weeks walk 2 miles for rest of the summer / fall. After 12 weeks, do wind-sprints during your 2 mile walk, run 30 seconds... slow down to brisk walking. Summer/ fall you can switch up walking with riding a bike... winter go to the gym.

I'll be sending you my bill. lol You are welcome. lol

Option 3 is my routine. Not too sure about the beer thing you

drunkard. lol Powerade or Vitamin Water or just plain water is

a better option.

Almost forgot. I use the Urban Rebounder once or twice a week

when I don't take a walk in the park.

lol

I felt guilty about oxtail last night, because it's so fatty.

Do you cook yours with curry? Well, I love it, anyway lol. Besides, I think it's high in protein, and I stay active.

(unlike my comatose Minneapolis Invasion thread pout)

Anyway...the reason why I'm not doing weights right now is that I need to "balance" the glaring imbalances in my core. (Or something to that effect). So probably in a month, after I've corrected my weaknesses (from sitting hunched over a desk for the past 20 years) I can start strength training.

I like my trainer. He's not a meathead, not conceited, and sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

There is no try. You either do.....or you don´t. wink

I just got back from the gym after taking a health related break for ten days. Ten days of not going to the gym almost drove me crazy. The gym is just part of my lifestyle, like eating or breathing. And it helps you stay energetic and mentally stable ( at least that´s what it does for me).

Listen to UptownNY....those Layne Norton tips are some good advice even for beginners.

Or listen to Henry Rollins: lol

As far as diet goes, it is VERY important but I must admit that I have many cheat days, too. Knowing what you eat is key though. I might eat the occasional junk food item but you´ll rarely see me eating fries or drinking a sugary cola ( I always drink the diet version, and even that very rarely). I just make sure that I train hard enough so that my muscles burn the calories, and I have an idea of my total calorie intake per day, so bad food does not really affect me that much. I also eat tons of frozen or fresh berries, plain yoghurt, organic olives, eggs (with yolk of course), and I make sure I get at least 90 grams of protein (or more ) per day. Some folks use more, but I think 90-120 grams are enough to cover my needs.

I drink a whey protein drink while working out or right after, and I drink one early in the morning, and another one in the early evening or late night ( slow digesting, not whey).

I also make sure that I get enough vitamin D3, zinc and arginin or citrulline but I don´t know if you´d need that.

Three or four times a week are more than enough if you´re a beginner, and of course it all depends on how hard you work out.

Also make sure to keep your testosterone levels high. Belly fat will raise your estrogen and other bad stuff. And in the long run you might develop man boobs, so burn that fat and your litte Jedi down there will thank you.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

If you wanna get in shape and toned, jump rope. I would suggest you walk for a least 7 weeks before you even attempt to jump rope 30 seconds. That's right start off with 30 sec because you feel like you've run 26 mile marathon. lol Stay at 30 second until you do without tripping over the cord and stopping. Agian, I'm sending you a bill. deal Because that what friends do...

I've drank my first soda in six months, and noticed it's drying me out and making me dizzy. Then, I went the doctor yesterday and she told me my cholesterol level is a bit over 100 eek . I've never struggle with that a day in my life. It's not critical, so I just have to watch my diet, and continue my exercise.

found this articleL

Fat Found to Accelerate Aging Process

yeah, it's an older article (2005). however it's a postive amount of knowledge for me to get up off my duff, exercise more often, eat less, and set a weight reduction goal.

also, look up more articles about the adverse effects of being overweight. i mean, i'm not obese, but i do enjoy my own cooking and need to "watch out" for my health's sake.

I was surfing through some medical site one day and it stated that everyone needs a certain amount of sugar a day. For a woman she should consume an maximum of 26gms and for a man about 32gms. What do you think?

okay, this is the end of the day of day one. i did pretty good today.

1 8oz (out of 32oz) strawberry, banana, blueberry, sliced apple, orange juice, apple juice smoothie.

at 1230pm.

>

1/2 veggie cheese sandwich. 1/2 apple at 4:00pm

>16 oz water

1 cup spaghetti w/red sauce, 1/2 cup kale greens 1/2 toasted slice whole wheat garlic bread at 7:00pm

> 15 oz water

so until tomorrow

, i will make and meditate on this affirmation.

i am no longer hooked on food, i am no longer hooked on food, i am no longer hooked on food. i i i am no longer hooked on food, i am no longer hooked on food, i am no longer hooked on food.

Walking i will do MY exercise consistently by walking 1hr everyother day.

I can't be arsed to do anything at the moment that will get in the way of my work time and make me feel bad either by my not working out as much as I'd like or not doing as much work.

So all I do is hammer curls, bicep curls, shoulder press and squats with free weights one day and then an ab roller thing, push-ups and calf raises the next. I take a rest day about every 6 or 7 days. I need to do some cardio, but at the moment I just take shorts walks. Still a bit jittery sometimes from anxiety I got with shingles a couple of months ago.

I eat whatever I want, which tends to be chicken (fried or grilled), steak, bacon, eggs (10-15 a week, mostly fried), cheese, dark chocolate, squid, mussels, canned tuna, peanuts, sunflower seeds, occasional rice or noodles, and veggies (carrots, broccoli, kale, cabbage, mushrooms and tomatoes mostly). I don't really eat pasta, potatoes, bread, much rice or noodles, so low carbs, and very little sugar. I (well, my wife) fry with butter or the fat from bacon where possible. Crap oil, one assumes, for bought Thai food. I hardly ever drink alcohol and never have soft drinks. 99% of the time I drink water or loose green tea (maybe a litre a day). The latter has definitely helped me lose fat around the trunk area.

I'm very light right now (75 kg/165 lb) for my height (193 cm/almost 6 ft 4), but I'm quite happy with how things are going. I need to put a little bit on my legs. My ideal weight would be about 85 kg, but I'd be very happy anywhere over 80 kg.

This was me 6 months ago. I'm (even) skinnier now, but better defined. No gut now at all.

If I only had 5-10 minutes I would choose to do this every time:

This simple little thing works your abs (upper mostly, I've found), and all the way up from parts of your back, up your sides, to your shoulders. Maybe even triceps a bit too, I think. I just do three sets every couple of days, up from about 10 (like a few weeks ago when recovering from shingles) to maybe 25 (pre-shingles). It's probably all wrong (I don't really care), but I do sets of push-ups in-between, with arms wide, close, head further forward or back, just to mix it up.
