Could be Oberyn, it hard to tell, then again titles tell some things, so I guess. Again they do switch some things from the books, so who knows. We know it isn't Jaime, he's got some work to do. It would be nice if Jaime was willing to be heir, he could do so much more for Tyrion because Tywin is not going to put Tyrion the head of anything much less the family, which is messed up since Tywin does admire intelligence and wit, he took to Arya.

Poppa Tyrell is a wuss and a half, that I'm surprised to see. He's pretty much Tywin's lap dog. How are they going to use that?

Next episode I'm assuming it's going to be more on Littlefinger and what his little deviant plans are, with Sansa being his niece. neutral

As for Oberyn, of course I'm likely wrong, if my past predictions are any indication. lol

I agree. Tywin can't "get past the past" with Tyrion, who has done more with less than anyone on the show this side of Slaver's Bay.

Hey I've been looking forward to a big battle at Castle Black. I just knew it would take 2 or 3 episodes. Four episodes to go and I'm still waiting. This show likes to pull fast ones and change it up a bit. So I don't know, chunks are missing, stuff was added or realigned so we'll see how they'll wrap this season up. But yeah the title gives that one away, maybe, I'm not banking on it. lol

Sansavale. lol lol I think she deserves it.

Right? nod I swear I don't know how she's been through all that crap and she's still a virgin...the way women were treated like cattle back then. neutral

Perhaps she'll let Tyrion get the goodies after she's conquered one of those towns. They could bond together while planning to set Westeros and all the people in it on fire. Wishful thinking. lol After all, she's the only woman that hasn't betrayed Tyrion on the whole show (I don't think her leaving with the fool counts).

Littlefinger makes my skin crawl. Even though he broke crazy Auntie Lysa's back out, I think he's secretly vying to take Sansa's virginity. The way he looks at her is creepy...like a pedophile.

You rewriting everything. Who knows after its all said and done maybe she might give in to Tyrion and stop waiting on storybook prince charming.

See that what has me "worried" in the books Littlefinger's presenting her as his daughter so you know he can't marry her under any circumstances without it being some major issues. I not sure if it works the same for a niece in this world.

Yes!! That makes sense, are we to assume that Oberyn picked up some fighting skills while he was in Essos with the unsullied?

His nickname is Red Viper and he apparently is a lethal warrior. As his first scenes show he's quick with a dagger.

So did Bron really make sure that Shae had left Kings Landing, and where was he during the trial?

Good question.
Was hoping that Ramsay would come to a very nasty end at the hand of Yara!

Me too, but we got yet another GoT near-payoff that breaks in the exact opposite direction.

How does Varys have any claim to the Iron throne though, after his chat with Oberyn, sounds like that is what he is after as well? [Edited 5/12/14 18:23pm]

Interesting; I "read" that scene as Varys planting the bug in Oberyn's ear to make a play for the Iron Throne.

[Edited 5/12/14 20:50pm]

So assuming that Tywin and Tyrion can choose their champions, would Oberyn fight for Tryrion, especially if Tywin gets The Mountain to fight for him, since the Hound has gone rogue? No way he would allow Jamie to fight for either sides, as he is the heir now.
Was hoping Tommen would give encouragement to Tyrion

Hmm, good point about Varys putting thoughts of the Iron Throne into Oberyn's mind, but what is Varys motive for doing what he does?

I am curious to see what Tywin in planning to do with his Daenerys issue.

Wonder Lysa's son will react to her being married now, and more interested in Little Finger (and Sansaa) than him?

Shucks, in the world of GoT, Tyrion is as close as you're going to get to prince charming. He's one of the most (if not the only) respectable men in Westeros.

nod They do have a habit of not sticking with one "arc." The show plays out like a mixtape sometimes.

It does seem that S4 is paced better than last season though; they give you faster plot movement between storylines than last year.

Tops on my list is Oberyn and The Mountain. I can't wait for that fight.

Considering my predictions are usually wrong smile . . .

I'm going by Tyrion's trial in the Vale, presided over by Crazy Lysa Season 1, after Catelyn arrested and charged him. IIRC, he was allowed to select his champion.

Also recall Oberyn took Tyrion aside at the beginning of the season to tell him about his grudge against the Lannisters and the Mountain for the death of his sister. Then later that season, Tywin denied he was involved in that, and assured Oberyn he'd arrange for him to get at the Mountain.

If chosen, I think Oberyn will fight. He wouldn't be able to stand by with the Mountain around. And it's not as if Tywin could stop him. Oberyn may be the only guy left that could beat the Mountain now that Jaime's lost his hand. Tyrion gave himself a chance.

No way he would allow Jamie to fight for either sides, as he is the heir now. Was hoping Tommen would give encouragement to Tyrion Hmm, good point about Varys putting thoughts of the Iron Throne into Oberyn's mind, but what is Varys motive for doing what he does?

Remember the "Baelor" episode, when Varys went to visit Ned Stark? He told Ned that his only concern was "the Realm," and his place in it. And Varys probably already knows the Lannisters are broke. If Oberyn makes a play and wins, Varys' place is preserved. If Oberyn makes a play and loses, Varys will deny it just as he denied Tyrion on the stand. But who knows Varys' true motives??? smile

I am curious to see what Tywin in planning to do with his Daenerys issue. Wonder Lysa's son will react to her being married now, and more interested in Little Finger (and Sansaa) than him?

More predictions sure to go wrong:

The crown has no money. Tywin may have no choice but to wait and see what Daenerys does.

I think Littlefinger is going to goad Sansa to take Lysa for a ride out the moon roof.

YES! This and when he began his speech with wishing he had let Stannis kill them all....clapping I've watched this scene at least 6 times since Sunday. lol The anger in Tyrion's face and his voice was priceless, especially since we normally see him calm and easy going. Dayum, I knew something was up with Bronn lately. Damn shame. Aww oh well. Alliances come and go in GoT.

So Daenerys finally got some new dick huh? spank Shucks don't blame her.

Gotdamn that Jon Snow is sexy as fuck!!! love

Aww, The Hound opening up to Arya was pretty nice. touched Perhaps he'll fall off her "kill" list.

Another great performance by Peter Dinklage this week. When Prince Oberyn was telling Tyrion the story of when Cersei was showing him "the Lannister monster"...the emotion in Tyrion's eyes was heartbreaking. bawl

Well Namepeace, looks like you were right in your predictions regarding Prince Oberyn standing for Tyrion as his champion in the trial by combat!!!! excited I put my money on Oberyn winning. Can't wait to see this. Perhaps they may save this until the season finale.

Urgh, that Robin is a psycho child. When Sansa slapped the shit out of him, I fell out with laughter. spit

Aside from that WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT LITTLEFINGER!!! He's out to wed and bed Sansa every chance he gets. Lawd....no no no! Would I be correct in saying that Sansa is in more danger in Eyrie than she was in Kings Landing? hmmm Didn't we predict he would get rid of crazy Lysa? Now all he has to do is knock Robin down that moon door and we can get down to business.

Urgh...only 3 more episodes and next week will be a "skip" week. DAMN! hammer

Mostly just moving the pieces around tonight. I did enjoy seeing Hot Pie again.

"Theres a long time between now and never." N you know Im rather okay with the Petyr/Sansa pairing at this moment. Well will see where that goes.

Dinklage nuff said just give him the emmy.

So we have Hound wounded, Mountain n Oberyn in a death duel, The Lady of The out the moon door, and what will become of Robin? Yes hes creepy but it would be interesting if they keep him around for a bit. Westeroo and its child kings. Lord.

He was just as good with Bronn and Oberyn this week as he was last week.

Well Namepeace, looks like you were right in your predictions regarding Prince Oberyn standing for Tyrion as his champion in the trial by combat!!!! excited I put my money on Oberyn winning. Can't wait to see this. Perhaps they may save this until the season finale.

Take a picture, it's the only GoT prediction I will ever get right. But that won't stop me from making another one (see below). I can't wait to see Red Viper show his skills. BUt I won't predict any outcome on the matchup except one heckuva fight.

Urgh, that Robin is a psycho child. When Sansa slapped the shit out of him, I fell out with laughter. spit

Given how we first met him, I'm not surprised Robin is a bit off. Though I don't see him as a sociopath on Joffrey's level. Early in the scene, I almost thought Sansa would be a calming influence on him. But I also knew that Snow Winterfell was going down when he walked outside!

Aside from that WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT LITTLEFINGER!!! He's out to wed and bed Sansa every chance he gets. Lawd....no no no! Baelish wanted Sansa for himself for a while. Lysa's days were numbered; if he would go after the King, why would he hesitate going after his wife? Though part of him is motivated by his love for Catelyn, he's still relentless. And a little disturbing.

Urgh...only 3 more episodes and next week will be a "skip" week. DAMN! hammer

One prediction: Before season's end, Varys' "birds" get to Meeren, and as a result, Danaerys discovers Jorah's early betrayal.

Cersi has ice water in her veins. I can say I can respect that one aspect about her, she does turn all skiddish in the sight of muck, she just stepped right over entrails to handle her business.

I loved that shot of Sansa outdoors in the snow. Looked like a painting.

I think Sansa has learned to not make waves, I don't think she interested in Littlefinger in the slightest, she's just in between a rock and a hard place as usual.

Little finger is making my skin crawl, seriously, one minute he was "oh you could have been my daughter" the next he has his tongue down her throat -ewwww! I fully expected them to show Lysa's broken body, after her speech about what happens to people once they fall through the moon door.
So are Robin's days numbered, now that he has no protector, or will Sansaa mediate?

Really liking Prince Oberyn, his story about meeting baby Tyrion was good, also reinforces just how much and how long Cersei has hated Tyrion.
Wanted to see the Mountain's reaction upon learning that Oberyn would be his opponent, and if he remembers the history.

Cannot believe Bronn sold out to Cersei, but I did like that they remained friends, hopefully if things turn out right for Tyrion, we will still see Bronn

Would love to see how close they all are to meeting up at the Vale

Two weeks wait until the next episode is way too long!!
