Joffery was a sociopath, who didn't know Jaime was his father, he was simply a bad mentally ill seed who would have been a disaster, maybe Jaime would have had to kill him too, who knows. Ed Stark, had a high standard of honor which he definitely lived by, come hell or high water. Lysa has a lot of issues, mostly stemming from her jealousy of Catherine.

Yes! nod

Yep. nod "Catherine was fat...Catherine liked sweets...yadayada."

Lysa is a nutcase. Sansa better watch out. Does Littlefinger know what he's gotten himself into?? lol I know everyone who's read the books knows but I haven't and maybe the writers will switch up things to keep it interesting for those who have read them.

Lysa's son is creepy as hell. Cersei is being much too nice so she's up to something evil. razz

I want Ghost. love

Lysa has serious issues, and her son isn't any better, I was hoping he would fall through that hole they have in their main hall. Poor Sansaa, she has not had a good run, here's hoping she meets up with Aya and the Hound and she comes into her own, just like Daenerys
Cersei is definitely up to something, especially with that little chat she had with Margaery, she is either dying, or about to off Margaery and her brother. I a bit curious about the boat she made for her daughter.
Was also hoping that Jon and Bran would meet, or at least for Jon to see that Bran is ok.
Cheered when Ghost killed that guy(cannot remember his name) who didn't give him the water

Sansa better get a backbone with the quickness or she'll be crying for the rest of her life. lol

Also, plenty of those kids need a lesson in manners. Lysa's son receives a beautiful crystal bird as a gift and just throws it into the hole...just like Joffrey slicing and dicing Tyrion's beautiful book. Joffrey got his 'timeout' but Lysa's little brat needs some serious discipline. lol

I'm curious about the ship too. Cersei is definitely up to something...and I doubt that something has a happy ending. razz

Sansa just snaps and throws little Rob out that little floor hole.

No?

It would be funny though.

Man, that would be something else if Sansa became Queen there and took a page from Khaleesi's book.."I will do as Queens do...rule." Imagine the look on Tywin Lannister's face if that ever happened. lol

I wonder if we'll see a good showdown this coming episode with Theon's sister coming to rescue him. hmmm Haven't seen a good battle since Blackwater.

The last 25 minutes of the episode: A MUTHAFUCKIN' BEAST!!! THAT IS EXACTLY WHY I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! Tyrion SHOWED how his balls are bigger than Tywin Lannister himself and gave everyone a GIGANTIC finger!!! BOOM!!! hammer worship clapping excited

As for the rest of the episode, it's a bit of snoozefest but still contained some important info.

Khaleesi's job as a ruler isn't as easy as she thought it was I guess. shrug Oh well guess she's still learning. It's way more easier to conquer cities but harder to rule them.

Davos is quite an asset isn't he? I've always like him, but just when he thinks he's down for the count, he comes through. Stannis is back in the fight again, yahoo!

sigh Theon. confused So I'm wondering if Ramsay is going to have Theon pose as himself (isn't that laughable in itself) in order to lure Jon to them since Locke failed his mission. hmmm

Only 4 episodes left y'all.

I will hate Margaery forever if she doesn't open her mouth. I know she can't betray her grandmother but damn... disbelief I want to strangle stupid Shae with my bare hands. Tyrion never just rolls over even when his heart is being ripped out. Shae showed who she truly was, "I am a whore" is what she said. Hope she got paid well.

I can understand the frame of mind dealing with Daenerys, I mean its great she's freeing slaves but Westeros doesn't have slavery and she not in control of those dragons so all they'll end up doing is destroying stuff, just what folks need more land tore up after all that war.

Theon is truly gone. A thorough job has been done on his mind, that's just too sad.

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of this goes.

As far as Shae goes, it's obvious they paid her a tidy sum to take the stand and lie, but I do want to give the benefit of the doubt that she also did it because they may have threatened her life too. I knew she didn't get away that easily but to do this to Tyrion...disbelief

As far as I'm concerned, Tyrion is the real king of Westeros. It's so funny how weak they think he is just because he's a dwarf, yet he has enough balls to not only rip everybody out with his words in the courtroom but look his father in the eye and buttfuck his plans. That was just pure genius right there. Last night's episode proved that Tyrion is the only one who can outwit Tywin Lannister...and did so in front of everyone. clapping

Damn, this show just gets better every episode!

This is by far, the best acting scene I've ever seen in GOT.... Peter Dinklage is a major actor, he's impeccable and talented as hell.... At some point when he said I'm guilty of being a dwarf you could tell he gave a finger to everyone who used to make fun of him when he was young (like, in real life).

I'm so waiting for the next episode.

Shae is as fake as a $3 bill. All this time Tyrion's been doing all he could to protect her, and all she's been doing is complaining and demanding. Wasn't a mark on her, all Cersi probably did was jangle a bag a gold at her.

Bronn stood in for Tyrion before. Then there's Loras, Margery's brother. Tyrion ain't out yet.

This episode in some ways was even more brutal than "Rains of Castamere" (Red Wedding episode). To see Tywin and Cersei pick apart the one man who saved them both, Tyrion, was tragic but par for the course in this show. They may not kill Tyrion, but they definitely tore his heart out.

Of course, Tywin was staging this all, to get Jaime to stand in for his brother and rule Casterly Rock, while exiling Tyrion. He was pulling the strings all along. But Tyrion turned the tables on everyone, and I think Tyrion, for all the hurt he endured, found a way out.

He knows the crown (or, at least, Cersei) HAS to make SURE he's killed in trial by combat, so they'll send their best -- The Mountain. He also knows Oberyn wants to kill The Mountain to avenge his sister. Do you HONESTLY think Oberyn's going to let the Mountain walk in or out of King's Landing alive while he's still there?

My prediction: Tyrion chooses Oberyn as his champion vs. the Mountain.

Exactly. That's why I always say that out of the three Lannister kids, Tyrion is the most like Tywin because they are both clever and calculating in their choices. It's very interesting how Jaime seems almost childlike while in the presence of Tywin whereas in contrast, Tyrion faces Tywin as a man....and always has.

Im interested to see if we see if Shae turned on him cause shes a whore or if she is being manipulated by the Father/Daughter combo. I know in the book Tyrwin and Shae's relationship was very one sided, which isnt the case in the show.

Could be Oberyn, it hard to tell, then again titles tell some things, so I guess. Again they do switch some things from the books, so who knows. We know it isn't Jaime, he's got some work to do. It would be nice if Jaime was willing to be heir, he could do so much more for Tyrion because Tywin is not going to put Tyrion the head of anything much less the family, which is messed up since Tywin does admire intelligence and wit, he took to Arya.

Poppa Tyrell is a wuss and a half, that I'm surprised to see. He's pretty much Tywin's lap dog. How are they going to use that?

Next episode I'm assuming it's going to be more on Littlefinger and what his little deviant plans are, with Sansa being his niece. neutral

As for Oberyn, of course I'm likely wrong, if my past predictions are any indication. lol

I agree. Tywin can't "get past the past" with Tyrion, who has done more with less than anyone on the show this side of Slaver's Bay.

Perhaps she'll let Tyrion get the goodies after she's conquered one of those towns. They could bond together while planning to set Westeros and all the people in it on fire. Wishful thinking. lol After all, she's the only woman that hasn't betrayed Tyrion on the whole show (I don't think her leaving with the fool counts).

Littlefinger makes my skin crawl. Even though he broke crazy Auntie Lysa's back out, I think he's secretly vying to take Sansa's virginity. The way he looks at her is creepy...like a pedophile.

Yes!! That makes sense, are we to assume that Oberyn picked up some fighting skills while he was in Essos with the unsullied?

So did Bron really make sure that Shae had left Kings Landing, and where was he during the trial?

Was hoping that Ramsay would come to a very nasty end at the hand of Yara!

How does Varys have any claim to the Iron throne though, after his chat with Oberyn, sounds like that is what he is after as well?

Next episode I'm assuming it's going to be more on Littlefinger and what his little deviant plans are, with Sansa being his niece. neutral

In the previews you see Lysa holding Sansa over the hole in the floor...how I would love to see Sansa grab her crazy ass and kick her into it ala King Leonidas 300 style. "THIS IS SANSAVALE NOW BITCH!!" lol

lol Awesome, go Sansaa, obviously the aunt knows that she is still playing second fiddle to Catelyn, except it is now the virginal Sansaa.
So Little finger is obviously depending on Tryrion being killed so he can knock of Lyra and her son, and marry Sansaa. He has been plotting for quite a while though, so there must be more up his sleeve

His nickname is Red Viper and he apparently is a lethal warrior. As his first scenes show he's quick with a dagger.

Good question.

Me too, but we got yet another GoT near-payoff that breaks in the exact opposite direction.

Interesting; I "read" that scene as Varys planting the bug in Oberyn's ear to make a play for the Iron Throne.
