Watching this video made me literally sick to my stomach.

More than 100 Britons were among 1,000 men caught trying to pay a computer-generated child to perform sex acts online, after a Dutch children's charity set up a fake profile.

Terre des Hommes carried out a 10-week sting near Amsterdam, posing on video chat rooms as "Sweetie", a 10-year-old Filipina girl.

Some 20,000 men contacted her, with 1,000 found to have offered her money.

The names of these men - including 110 Britons - were passed to police.

When I visited the charity's operations room - in a warehouse on the outskirts of Amsterdam - I watched as a researcher logged on to a chat room as Sweetie - incredibly life-like but created by a computer.

Within seconds, like sharks, men were circling.

Of the 1,000 men who were willing to pay Sweetie to take off her clothes in front of a webcam, 254 were from the US, followed by 110 from the UK and 103 from India.

Researchers used evidence including profiles on Skype and social media to identify the suspects.

Project director Hans Guyt told a news conference in the Hague on Monday that the crime "requires a new way of policing."

"The predator won't come forward. The victim won't come forward," he said.

Worst-case scenario

Terre des Hommes has launched a global campaign to stop "webcam sex tourism".

Managing director, Albert Jaap van Santbrink, said: "Our worst-case scenario is that the same will happen with this phenomenon as with child pornography, which is now a multi-billion industry in the hands of criminal gangs."

The charity has now handed over its findings to police and has said it will provide authorities with the technology it has developed.

But European policing agency Europol has expressed reservations about the findings.

"We believe that criminal investigations using intrusive surveillance measures should be the exclusive responsibility of law enforcement agencies," spokesman Soren Pedersen told the Reuters news agency. (Maybe they should have stepped up their game then)

Andy Baker, of the UK's National Crime Agency, also said that "tackling child sex abusers is best left to specialist law enforcement agencies."

But he praised the campaign, saying it had "widened awareness of a global child sex abuse threat".

"Working with our international law enforcement partners, we will now look at the information being passed on by Terre des Hommes," he added.

Sweetie will not be used again. She has done her job - showing the predators that they can easily become prey.

My brother-in-law is currently incarcerated because he is a pedo and hid it very well from my sister. He touched his own three kids, and did other things ......... to my 2 nephews and niece (when my sister was not home). What got him arrested was he touched his own sisters son and he blew the whistle on his uncle to his parents. His sister and her husband called the police. The police dept ICE (Integrated Child Exploitation) (I.C.E.) Unit has his computer tower and it is filled with pictures of boys and god knows what else, evidence. My sister is currently going through the process of divorcing his ass (19 years of marriage), she got her teens into counselling, and is slowly starting a new life. The kids are in their teens and the eldest who is 18 hates his father and considers him dead. This all happened this Summer. He has plead not guilty to everything. So there will be a trial happening at some point. Her teens never told each other, and none of them knew he was doing it to each of them They never reached out for help.

What amazes me is how these degenerates keep the pictures on their computers. Seems to me the savvy thing to do is store them on a flash drive, not that I'm advocating keeping them at all, but if these fools want to keep such filth, seems to me they'd be more careful about where they store the photos.

Oh no!

That just sickens me and it hit close to home in my family also. My late sis' kids' paternal grandfather molested her four children--3 girls and the little boy. He never served one day in jail. Small town politics and that bastard or as they said, "Upstanding citizen in the communtiy..." was given probation. What's worse? The grandmother knew about it. I hate all of them and will never speak to them ever. Well, the grandfather is dead and sometimes I wish I believed there WAS a hell so he could burn forever. At least he can't hurt anymore kids.

My nieces and nephew were pretty messed up most of their lives and are just now recovering and putting it all in perspective...if that can be done. I just cannot comprehend this perversion. I just can't...

I signed also and shared it with some of my friends. What kills me is this private organization got so much done in such a short time while the cops sit around diddling and then say, "Leave it to the authorities."

I am glad they are doing it, I hate to see the exploitation of little children by perverts. I hope the Interpol actually bother to arrest these people. But and I say but, some may have only cliked in once and may not be as hardcore as others. I am worried they could get a stain on their copybooks for a moment of weakness.

Also they need to spread the net wider and include Herbert from Family Guy types. Theres a lot of paedophile gays too, I know men who go to Thailand on sex tours (Not me, I am not attracted to boys) and I wouldn't anyway as its wrong. Child molestors have always been around but I really do believe that there are more of them in the last 20 years because porn has made the shaven "childlike" look considered sexy to people. When I was growing up, very few women in porn were shaved and most of the ones that were, were dressed in outfits like a schoolgirl uniform before she would get undressed. And it was totally unheard of for a man to shave except in some gay porn when they shave trying to create a "twinklike" "barely legal" look. Back then, the hairier a man was, the more "manly" he looked and men wanted to be hairy and the ones that were flaunted it.

Nowadays, a lot of people think pubic hair on either a man or a woman is gross and the images in porn, both gay and straight porn, are getting younger and younger looking and the words "barely legal" appear on many sites as if what's considered sexy these days is someone underage but they promote someone barely overage so they won't go to prison. A lot of people disagree but I really believe this has added to the increase of child molestors because porn has made what is considered sexy a childlike fully hairless look.

They're not going to use "Sweetie" again. They said 'she' was done with her job. And if you've ever watched To Catch a Predator you'd know how stupid some of these men are. They came back to the same place even after they were caught.

^ I remember one episode where a dude brought his son with him. He left the kid in the car so he could meet his 'date'.

Just my opinion, but I hate these beauty pageants for toddlers. To me, dressing little girls like women is wrong. Reminds me of the JonBenet Ramsay case. Shit creeps me out. Let kids be kids.

I assume maybe that well dried up (the community probably got wind of it - everything on the internet spreads ike wildfire) and now they released the info to keep possible predators a little more scared & off the internet.
