So my 47 year old ex/Now platonic friend now is in love with a 19 year old Sure we both have dated other people, but now this is a new wrinkle. We always give each other space in dating as not to confuse anything, but Im having a hard time co-signing this one. Should I let this thing run its probable short term course and keep my opinions to myself, or shake the shit out of this chick? Thoughts ?

You use to date Prince? * * Seriously, let it run it's course. You don't have to pretend that you like it, but if both parties are willing, we all make our own choices. I'm firmly planted in denial

No doubt this is a short term fling...let it run its course.
However, you need to decide whether your ex is worthy of your friendship given her questionable decision making. It may be time to move on. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

We spent all day Tuesday together while the boy toy was at an amusement park with his friends. So while he was out riding roller coasters, we were having drinks, eating out and went to see a play-- 10 hours together Half the time we talked About Junior and how Awesome he is... A very peculiar day indeed

Is the ex a woman? It's perfectly fine in society if it's a woman

Seriously...even if the split hadn't been bitter with my ex...I don't think that I'd ever want to know ANYTHING about her subsequent relations, nor she of mine.
It's all; "Hello." "Hi. Here's the child support." "Thank you." "Bye."
What you (Fury) described - to me - was a DATE with your ex. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

What you (Fury) described - to me - was a DATE with your ex. We only dated 3 months but we've been really good friends in the three years since, so it's never really been a big deal when the other one starts dating. That being said, we don't have sex (not since April 2011 anyway), but we do go to dinner and movies once a month or so. I think she is just in lust with this young dude. I'm not jealous, more like baffled by the whole thing

I'm baffled too, because, as a woman, if a guy anywhere below 30 even flirts with me, I shut it down quick (I'm 39) and to me, it just feels like they are kids. I was in the gas station the other day and this very cute boy, about 22 or something began flirting with me and I swear I almost said, "Boy I'm old enough to be your mother!" I just did not like it.

She is 2 years younger than dude's Mom ! I said y'all must not have went public with this yet because Sistas don't play that cougar shit with their kids lol [Edited 7/21/12 11:23am]

Sounds like ol' gal is enjoying putting your ego in check by going on about this kid while on your date with her. Act as if it doesn't bother you.
I say, stop letting this kid get to you because this kid was all that she wouldn't need you in the picture.
Yeah... I generally disapprove of women going after little boys since it usually means they must have control issues.
Keep her as a fuck buddy since she can't play mommy with you and don't let this get to you at all. One good argument is all it takes before this young buck will find a tighter pussy to fuck and she'll get her reality check. You can tell her that when he does.
That 19 year old going to the amusement park is what he is SUPPOSED to be doing not fucking some woman that's most likely older than his own mother.
But hey... that's just my humble opinion and I am a little jaded when it comes to old horny bitches trying to fuck young men in hopes of reliving their wasted youth. My guy dumped me for a senior citizen when I was 35. Turns out the old piece of trash did me a favor.

The bama don't even drive! So when I asked to see the dude's picture she was all hesitant and shit. I Was expecting some Taye Diggs/ Stella got her groove back top model looking dude-- The dude is just basic-- like a 5 or 6 Kinda basic. I just said oh, okay. Raggedy beard, looks like neyo

We Both are well versed in each other's relationship material deficiencies and neither one of us is about to change them. She has no problem critiquing my dates either lol

King has a point, yo! surviving on the thought of loving you, it's just like the water

This!
Of course it may take a while to transition from being jealous to not caring about it. If you find you're jealous, you really should not remain in contact during that time.
But, I just don't get why people want to be friends with their exes. They're NOT your friends...they're your exes.

Oh, I agree with this. Not all mine are. But, in general, we also know not to pee in each others sandboxes upon splitting up, and part of this is distance. I'm not bothered of who my exes sleeping with either.
There's no need to keep up any kind of friendship with them, and certainly no reason to if you can't be emotionally in the right place to deal with who they're sleeping with next.

right. It should be "if she likes it, I love it"
That is how it is with my friends.. unless someone is beating me, swindling me, or cheating on me.
But just because of his age, or scraggly beard?? Uhn, uhn.
So if you can't had the same feeling as my friends... maybe y'all are different kind of friends:
