If you're interested in exploring Asia, then Singapore. Immigrating there is easy because Singapore doesn't have enough people for jobs, so they need to immigrate folks.

If you're interested in Europe, then probably Ireland. Ireland is having to immigrate folks too.

Avoid the states.

I just don't think America is different enough from Austraila (at least the urban life) that you'd really get that 'change' you were looking for.

Plus guys are still rocking the O/C look there---really embarassing.

It's beautiful there! I was going to also suggest San Francisco for the US or New York, and for Canada, Toronto or Old Montreal. Canada is the better option, and the free health care is just the tip of the iceberg although we're high in taxes smile

YUP.

And so does Shanghai, which is probably the most up-and-coming city in all of Asia right now. Plus, in Shanghai, there's an entire section of the city for westerners because you folks don't like eating dogs, and animals that scream when you bite them.

I don't want to offend anyone from Singapore or with ties there, but an acquaintance tried to go to school there and had a really bad experience with how everything and everyone was there and mentioned there was a lot of corruption and that it wasn't safe there.

It's very safe there.

But, there is corruptions in EVERY Asian city. I mean, EVERY SINGLE one. lol

It's the way Asian culture is set up---through networking with friends. This always leads

to waste and corruption.

But, in general westerners do not see it or get exposed to it.

It happens here in the Western countries too, but stays within communities much of the time.

When I think about living elsewhere, it's for another area in the city, but I like traveling and sometimes wonder what it would be like taking a leave for a year to work in another country completely different from here.
