All everyone keeps talking about is how slack security is.

But that's probably a diversion tactic because the UK is getting its ass whooped as usual.

We're 4th in the medals table right now. What's the problem? Bloody good if you ask me.

Indeed. Scotland has 8% of the UK population, but as I type this has won 66% of the "Team GB" gold medals.

Swimming champ Ryan Lochte PEED IN THE POOL AT THE OLYMPICS

Ryan Lochte finished his run at the 2012 Olympics just in time. Today he turns 28-years-old and the birthday boy called in to “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” Friday to talk rivalry, Rio and whether Olympic athletes really do pee in the pool.
Do Any Of The Athletes Pee In The Pool?
“Of course. I think there’s just something about getting into chlorine water that you just automatically go. [I didn't] during the races, but I sure did in warm-up.”
On This Year’s Competition:
“I am relieved."

Now I'm hearing some media loudmouths whining about how unfair it is that Team USA is so dominant in basketball. They want to change the rules so the rest of the world can catch up. Bunch of bullshit. The U.S should never apologise for having the best basketball players and proving it every four years. It's not our problem other nations are lagging.

Why would that be the case? Schools are the only place for atheletes to train. Where is the correlation that atheletes can't compete academically. Many do. The military academies in the U.S. all have NCAA DIV-1A sport teams including football for instance.

Even in the U.S., you can bet none of either the men's or women's gymnastics team did most of their training at school. The girls gymnastic team hasn't hit high school. lol

shrug I dunno...I'm just guessing.

I mean...how is it possible that other first-world nations, with top-notch training facilities and the economic might to allow ecvellent training...are so lagging?

Because China and the U.S. both have larger pools of talent to go with all that. India should have the talent pool but lack all the rest.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

What a MAGICAL day for Team GB. I have tears in my eyes watching Mo' Farah (grew up a few miles from me) win gold and then with his heavily pregnant wife running on to the track. Beautiful.

AND Greg Rutherford sounds like a kid in a candy store in his BBC interview. 3 Athletics golds in 1 hour.

What were they supposed to do, stand there and hold the ball? You may have heard about some badminton teams that were kicked out of the Olympics for not playing hard enough? The simple fact is that more shots than they will probably ever make as a team went in that day. Something like over 70 FGP (more than seven out of every ten shots went in). Twenty nine three point shots made when the previous record was 13?!!! Honestly, scoring that much, while made easier by Nigeria's crap defense, was as much a fluke as anything. If anybody thinks otherwise all they have to do is look at today's game, which they BARELY won.

What they should do is look at how many of THEIR players are part of the NBA. The only team without any current or former NBA players is Tunisia. Even Nigeria has NBA players. They should stop whining and realize how much worse they would be if they didn't have the ability to use players trained in the NBA game. lol

Definitely great to see all the GB wins and medals. It makes everything y'all have a chance in more exciting because the crowds get so much louder.

However, as much as I hope it's a good match, I'm still pulling for Federer tomorrow (or today if you're over there I guess lol ).
