Wolf Creek. This independent Australian movie is pretty disturbing. It at times felt like actually being there. There are a number of pretty disturbing asian movies from Japan and Korea that I've seen. Most recently I saw the devil.

Wolf Creek...is that the one with Fassbender in it?

I saw that. It's pretty good (way better than I expected), but I wasn't disturbed by it.

The short film to "Broken" by Nine Inch Nails was fairly disturbing.

I love "Battle Royale", one of my favorite movies EVER (and I've just finished reading the book too), but I don't find it particularly disturbing.

There's no way I'd ever watch films like Irreversible, A Serbian Film, or The Human Centipede though. Sorry. Just reading the synopses disturbs the shit out of me. I don't care to see rape or child molestation presented as entertainment, even if it's to make a point. Too fucked up for me.

I used to think a lot of NIN shit was hardcore, but it's actually pretty tame stuff, it's more like the type of stuff that would scare old people...

Human Centipede doesn't have rape or pedophilia in it.

I just watched this indie movie yesterday, and it really pissed me off. It's very disturbing, and it's even not horror.

Other movies that were simply disturbing, but already mentioned here..

The Experiment

Homecoming

Mysterious Skin

Prince I will always miss and love U.

Agreed on most of their stuff, but Broken is WAY more twisted than anything else they've ever done. There's a reason it's never been released. The scene where the guy mutilates and tortures himself before committing suicide in the meat grinder and feeding himself to the flowers is fucked up.

And I know Human Centipede doesn't have rape or pedophilia in it, the other two movies I mentioned do. I guess I should have said rape or child molestation or people-with-their-freakin-mouths-sowed-to-other-peoples-assholes lol

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I'd say the most disturbing thing in NIN's "Broken" is what they keep cutting back to, the movie that connects all the music videos, the one where a guy is willingly picked up by another guy, who then proceeds to retrain him in a garage and mutliate him and defile him until he is literally just a pile of ripped overflowing meat and guts and bone. It was shot and crafted very realistically like a snuff film. And it has taboo things (because murder is so normal in our entertainment culture now) like taking a shit on the guys face (if I remember correctly).

The end of I Saw the Devil stayed with me. Odishon, Oldboy, Battle Royale, Ringu, Tale of Two Sisters, No Mercy - all Korean or Japanese - all disturbing!

plenty as it goes..

goodbye uncle tom. the film was beautifully shot but the images and scenes are damn right hard and sick. The story inside all of it is pretty evoking and challenging.

serbian film..no need to explain.

cold fish..japanese thriller based on real events.

enter the void.

plenty more..
