It's been a long three years, anticipating this movie. And now that the full trailer is out, I'm going spoiler-free and shutting all things Prometheus out of my life until my ass is sitting in that theatre! cool

Good policy. I may have to follow or, in my excitement, ruin this ride for myself.

looks a lot more action-oriented than I thought...

I still don't know if the movie will be about "Bunch of Humans vs The Mysterious Race that created the xenomorphs"...

The trailer is quite frightening. What is that thing that stands up but still looks like a crawler?

I will go see it but I need to find out as much as possible beforehand. I don't mind spoilers at all. They actually add to the excitement.

Michael Fassbender as a blonde. Child please! WET!! He should not have done that to me. lol

The creature you described is the ''space jockey" or universal pilot of the alien spacecraft. The being, or another member of its species, made its first appearance in the 1979 Alien movie.

YES! OMG that is so horribly frightening to me and to call him a space jockey makes it all the more unsettling. What is it/he? Alive, organic, mechanical? Yuck. It looks huminoid. Ugh, this film will scare me I just know it. Aliens scared me and still does.

Prometheus: The Art of the Film

March 28, 2012

Excitement is definitely building among science fiction fans for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, a high-concept sci-fi horror film from the director of Bladerunner and Alien. On June 5th Titan Books is publishing Prometheus: The Art of the Film, 192-page hardcover with a cover price of $39.95.

This movie began as a sort of “prequel” to the original Alien movie, but quickly morphed into something altogether more ambitious via a process that is detailed in this sumptuous volume.

The narrative DNA of the Alien movies is definitely present inPrometheus, but there is also a strain of high-concept narrative that touches on the most profound mysteries of life in a manner unseen in a major science fiction film since Stanley Kubrick’s 2001.

Chile, this shit is right up your alley!!!

The premise is that mankind is actually aided in it's evolution from 'space jockey's but when we go out to look for them, they're not as benevolent as we originally thought. At least, that's the rumor.

I'm so stoked about this.

I love the face that he reinforces the Alien franchise, but goes so far beyond it.

It's like the Alien movies were Neo before he discovered the matrix, where

Prometheus is the discovery of the matrix. I'm sure Scott will pull this shit off fine.

Because if he doesn't, I'm going to cry.
