What's the worst case of food poisoning you have ever had?

I am recovering from a nasty bout of it thanks to Denny's. Not fun.

I made a pork roast (pernil) and tried to eat the left overs 48 hours after I cooked it.

I made some Cuban sandwiches and had a hot painful belly and nausea until I pooped it out. It was awful. I felt the pain and I stayed sick until it was out my body.

Never again! When I cook pork now, if its older than 24 hours its in the TRASH!

I got salmonella from some bad sushi (at least, I think it was the sushi) in 1995. I was sick for a solid week.

Christmas 2004. It was our first christmas with our child - she was 3 months old and we were really looking forward to it. On Christmas Eve my husband offered to cook my favourite meal - Spaghetti Bolognese. I have no idea what he did wrong... but it made me ill for the whole of christmas day sad

My wife and I hit a sketchy fish and chips shop in London back in 2001. We travelled to France via the Channel Tunnel the next morning, and it was the most excruciating ride EVER. Every twist, turn or bump seemed to send our stomachs into spasms. We couldn't wait to get off of that train. shake We later spent the entire afternoon on repeated emergency hunts for available toilets in Paris, where we were exploding at both ends. Ruined that part of our vacation.

I ate something that didnt like me not long back. I was so ill, it was coming out at both ends at the same time. At one point I was on the floor and couldn't get up, I started to go faint due to fluid loss and was so weak I could barely hold my phone to call my Wife who was at work.

It ended up with my Wife, who is a Paramedic coming home in the Ambulance to check me out, I was just so very ill.

My Wife stuck me on an ECG (because she could and I was in no position to argue) and found that I had partial blockage to the Arteries in my Heart.

That kinda wrapped up my evening nicely sad sad

I now have an appointment with a Cardioligist in two weeks sad

Life is short, don't be a dick.

I had some spinach dip and broccoli soup from Kelsey's.

I got sick for a week.

I threw up the first few days and finished it off with diarrhea.

I can't look at spinach dip and broccoli soup without feeling sick. neutral

I took my kids to Chuck E. Cheese and ate some ranch dressing (I dip my pizza in it) anyway, I wanted to DIE that night- seriously. So awful.

Oh, and once, when I was a girl, I ate some bad fish when I went to some restaraunt with my grandmother and I woke up in the middle of the night, just KNOWING that the minute my foot touched the floor I would puke everywhere. I lay there for hours feeling awful and not moving, dreading the throw up (I HATE to throw up and haven't in 20 years) anyway, the minute I began to get up......g-ross. You know the rest. mad

Well I wouldn't call this food poisoning exactly but once after going to "Hometown Buffet" with my family I had some fish with tarter sauce and when I got home, my stomach was rumbling, then it felt like somebody was beating me up from inside. Next thing you know I was crawling to the toilet and barf Then I remembered that the damn tarter sauce was sitting out with the other condiments. Urgh, that shit is supposed to be sitting on ice. Learned my lesson then, don't eat fish at a buffet and definitely don't eat no damn tarter sauce. shake

Another time when I was a kid, it was summertime and I was with my family out of town. Well I had this orange soda, but I left it in the car when we went somewhere, can't remember, I think to somebody's house to visit, but anyway, by the time we got back in the car, everything in it was hot as hell, but what did my silly little ass do? I took some gulps of that damn hot ass orange soda. Half an hour later...barf Luckily we were parked wherever we were at so I opened the door quick enough to not barf in the car. To this very day, I haven't taken a sip of orange soda...can't stand the site of it at all. When I see little kids drinking orange soda, I feel like I need to barf all over again. lol

I ate at Popeyes 2 days before I went on a Caribbean cruise (March 2011) and the next day, I was at Macys shopping and started feeling nauseous. I had taken the train to the store. I called my mom as I was shopping and mentioned that all of a sudden, I wasnt feeling so well. She advised me to go home and chill out. I found my way back to the train station. By then my stomach was clearly hurting. I remember feeling faint, and hot and cold at the same time. I remember feeling like I was gonna die right there on the train. I was kinda scared. I put my head on the cool window to try to cool my forehead.

Fastforward... when I got home and put my key in the door, I didnt know which end to point toward the toilet!!!

I had the dreaded....

DOUBLE DRAGON!!!

YES, PEOPLE. VOMITTING AND DIARRHEA!

I sat on the toilet and stuffed my face in the trash can.

feeling ill

Must have been 89 or 90....Carls' Jr....chimichangas....

I thought I was gonna die....really. a year later, my crohns disease started up. There was always something in me that wanted to blame crohns disease I'm that episode with that chimichanga. Carls' Jr had no business making chimichangas.

I bought a jar of Marmite and had maybe 10-12 slices of toast with that thing just because I wanted to understand why people in the UK eat it.

I was messed up for over a day. Kept throwing up, shitting and had really strange feverish dreams. I really had to take a sick leave from work because of it.

Papaya Salad....I was sick for about a day. Not pleasent, but I'm pretty impervious to being sick for long periods of time over food. I hope it stays that way.

Taco Bell a few years ago. I was working late one night until around 11:30 p.m. and the only thing open that time of night in that area of town was Taco Bell. Downtown Jackson is like a ghost town after 5:00 p.m. when all the business people get off work so I'm sure the Taco Bell in that area got hardly any business that time of night so the food must have been old as hell. I was sick for days.

One Thanksgiving, my whole family chipped in to hire this woman my aunt recommended to prepare dinner for us all.

She was really stressed out while cooking and the food tasted pretty crappy, and of course the next day EVERYONE who ate was sick lol

Since then, my cousin has made most of our holiday meals

If you will, so will I
