He can do that anyway.

But it would be nice to be whisked away and um....can't believe I will say this...have a nice romantic time together.

Gah...

Are you sure London is the best place for that? Last time I checked it was both expensive and polluted.

I understand the "whisked away" bit though. Every woman still nurtures that princess fantasy somewhere deep down.

...and then somewhere along the line the prince charming morphs into a hedge fund manager. confused

I only say London because he is leaving next week and will be there until the middle of January. It would be nice to be flown out and spend a couple of days together.

Because he couldn't afford it or because he wouldn't want to spend the money?

This year I'm asking that money be given in my name to a couple Toronto- and Cleveland-area charities that I've identified.

My gift to myself will come in Springtime, when I'm thinking of taking a week or so to visit the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

Visiting my neck of the woods?! Is there anything in particular your coming here to see? If your coming in Springtime come in late May or early June (Potential better weather).

(Assuming you are going to WA state.)

Things to see/do:

The only rain-forest in the continental U.S. is in Washington State.

River rafting.

Boeing Flight Museum

Mt St Helens

Mt Rainier

Traditional tourist things:

Space Needle

Farmers Market (Where they throw the fish)

Ballard Locks

Seattle Underground (old Seattle that is currently under Seattle) You go under ground to see the old buildings.

Take a ferry ride. (It's cool. Just walk on and go across the bay and come back to Seattle. What a spectacular view of Seattle.)

I bought my own gift(s) this year. Prince tickets to the Tacoma show and Victoria Canada show along with accommodations and travel expenses. I also bought some clothes. Don't need much more.

I am always looking for "new" Prince music.

I also been scanning the used CD stores to try out some new music for myself.

Amazon still has 16 of the Lotusflow3r/MPLSound double vinyl left. You may want to grab them before they're gone. There wasn't very many of them pressed.

Edit: THEY'RE, not their. For fuck's sake my grammar skills are devolving something terrible.

Peace On Earth.
That's all that's on my Christmas wish list this year.
I used to ask for alot porn, but with so much free shit on the internet these days,
I'd be just happy with the whole Peace thing.
Everything else is just gravy.
At least, when it comes to the porn, I hope that's what that stuff is.
I'd hate to think what else it could be.

Barney Miller The Complete Series

Some sitcoms age better than others, and few as well as Barney Miller which, despite its rare departure from the single 12th Precinct detective squad set and regular book-'em-and-cut'em-loose routine, scored big laughs with surprising heart. Give thanks to the diverse, relatable characters, none more so than Hal Linden's Capt. Miller. And with the departure of a supporting player like Gregory Sierra or the passing of Jack Soo, the writers seized the opportunity to introduce deadpan genius Dietrich (Steve Landesberg) and breathe new life into the proceedings. The show also earned much cred for taking place in New York City when it was a crime-ridden hellhole, and offers a glimpse of history back to when Thursday nights belonged to ABC.

These 25 discs carry not only the 168 classic episodes but also the original The Life and Times of Barney Miller pilot, brand-new on-camera interviews with stars Linden, Abe Vigoda (Fish) and Max Gail (Wojo), additional writer/producer interviews as well as audio commentaries. And in one of the most generous TV-on-DVD extras ever, the eight seasons of Barney Miller are joined by the complete first season of Vigoda's spin-off series, Fish, which is only available here. ($159.99)

a rigged lottery ticket lol

I'm actually planning to get ten lottery tickets (plus a few other things) for a cash-strapped family member this year. Maybe it would have better to just give her the money I'm intending to spend on the tickets instead, but like I said above I'm not too keen on cash gifts. And who knows, maybe she'll win big - and then it will be a great gift!

lottery tickets make a great gift nod
