Today I went to my natural therapist & found out I have hashimotos disease which means I have to cut out dairy, wheat & gluten from my diet. I'm going to die from starvation, I swear neutral

On a brighter note .. I found a photo of Prince & Nas sitting together at some event excited

What are the symptoms? I've cut those out too because although I've not had any official diagnosis, I feel about 500% better if I don't have it.

Here's the most common symptoms ..

  • Fatigue
  • Depression
  • Modest weight gain
  • Cold intolerance
  • Excessive sleepiness
  • Dry, coarse hair
  • Constipation
  • Dry skin
  • Muscle cramps
  • Increased cholesterol levels
  • Decreased concentration
  • Vague aches and pains
  • Swelling of the legs

Before I was diagnosed I already ate healthy anyway so it's not that much of an adjustment for me (apart from the dairy side of things), but it's definitely a beneficial lifestyle change nod

I'm only on day 2 & I feel a lot better, I just can't wait to see how I feel in a few weeks! giggle

My thoughts for today:

  • Why oh why did I eat all of those cookies last night? I just couldn't say no, I guess, but I sure as hell didn't need them. Especially when I've been doing so good on my diet. But, no need to beat myself up over it. I just need to get back to it today. I am going to go back to drinking lots of water, good food, and no junk food. I miss the days when I was younger, when I could eat any and everything, and not gain a single ounce of weight. sigh
  • My sleep schedule is so messed up. Last night, I went to bed at 6 p.m. (yes, I'm being serious here), and woke up at 4 a.m. I usually get to bed at 11:30/12:00 a.m. and waking up at 5 a.m. which sucks, because then I'm tired all day. yawn
  • I don't have any pet sitting jobs for the weekend (yet), and I'm hoping it stays that way. I have a lot of stuff that I still need to get done around here. Which is hard to do, when you're working two jobs, like I am.
  • Oh, speaking of pet sitting jobs, a week or two back, one of the people that I pet sit for all the time made a payment to us, but it was HALF of the amount of what my boss told me that it would be. Which pissed me off, because I'm ALWAYS going over there and looking after her dog. By not paying us the amount that she owes us, she not only stiffs my boss, but she stiffs me as well. With the amount of gas money and time that I spend going to and from her house, and looking after her dog, the least she can do is pay us. deal I'm there practically every week, and she can't even pay us the full amount of what she owes us?? She'd better have a damn good excuse, that's all I can say. disbelief I don't think that money is an issue, since she has a good job, and lives in a nice house.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

My mom is psychic.....my day at work was going like faint blackeye

She calls out of the blue sky and says lets go out to dinner tonight. Music to my ears. Those simple words changed the rest of my day......

Dinner with her, my sis and nephew was like cloud9 ......just what I needed.

The simple things in life.....

^^^ Not to go all PSA on you or anything, however, words are powerful. They create.

Your words have more power than you might imagine. There is something creative and powerful about what you speak. That's why thinking before speaking is always important. Just saying.

I'm a firm believer in the whole "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" deal. What you say tends to reflect the true state of your heart. If your words are always tinged with bitterness, then they reveal the way you feel about yourself and therefore your worldview.

I'm not saying you are bitter or anything. I'm just giving a general example there. hug

Extended adolescence is a huge turn off. It is not even slightly attractive. Or remotely humorous.

If you want to be treated well? Treat others well. If you want the quality of your life to increase?

Take responsibility for your own actions, stop blaming others and set (and meet) some goals.
