I have done nothing today but shower and lay back in my bed. Haven't gotten dressed or even eaten. It's sad.

What's up? Were you busy yesterday? School? Work? Your daughter? Your new house? Maybe you just needed to zone out.

Well I was at john's place yesterday. Was there til about 1AM. I think today was just my day to be lazy. I ate my first meal 15 minutes ago. Plus it's so rainy here. Really makes being lazy more appealing.

I always loved rainy Sunday afternoons, perfect for napping. However, when you really need to get your ass moving and it keeps being rainy and foggy, that it just so counterproductive. It has been raining here in Pensacola since Friday. It stopped for a bit; mostly it poured. zzzzzz bored

Just thinking about my mother and father in law and how vulnerable they are now they're getting older. They paid 16,000 Baht up front (were due to pay 5k more) for a guy to paint their old Corolla, fix the air-conditioning, shocks and a few bits and bobs in it, only for him to call up my father in law a couple of days ago and say he should to come pick up the car because he wasn't fixing it but instead running off with the money. My father in law got down there and some of the paint had been stripped off but nothing else had been done. There were 6 or 7 other people affected, ranging from losing 6,000 Baht to cars being in pieces (no doors) and even one just stolen. sad

MY COUSIN WORKS IN A PHARMACY AND SHE SAID THEY ENEMA'D PRANCE INTO OBLIVION WITH FENTONILS!!

How terrible!!! But is it common practice in Thailand to PREpay for services like that? Here, they do the work first, then you pay and get your car... I cant think of any service's that you prepay someone?? I feel so bad for them sad

No, but my mother-in-law is naive like that and these kinds of things do seem to happen to her. Hell, her own son plays her and gets money out of her and it drives us all nuts.

About the car she decided to go someone quite a way from here because it was cheap. She's very frugal, used to taking care of all her children on very little, I suppose. It lands her in trouble like this, unfortunately. She cried the morning she found out, not so much about the lost money but that someone could do something like that. sad

She seems like she could be the poster girl for "penny wise, pound foolish".

That just seems like a horrible combination. Like maybe she should not have access to large quantities of her own money. How does her husband feel when her son gets money from her?
