Attention Teachers and Parents

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well.

I'm a teacher here in Toronto, Canada and wanted to share with you all some of the work that I am doing for my students, their parents, and other professionals who work in this industry.

I've been writing to a blog space where I share resources, strategies, and articles that I have had success with and want to pass along to you all.

Here's the address:

http://emathipation.blogspot.com

If you feel like you may have something to contribute, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section and we can begin moving towards publishing your ideas!

Thanks for your time everyone.

Jaydeep

You give us a good name smile Grade 5 and 6 math was hard for me, but 7th and 8th became smoother. I really believe girls and boys are treated differently from one another when doing subjects in math and science if they are falling behind, and there should be awareness of that too. I was bashing myself for being bad at math cause of some units, instead of giving myself credit for the ones I was excellent at when I set my mind to it.

There is also a home video called The Human Calculator which is helpful for doing quick arithmetic and mental math.

By the way, I'm neither a teacher or parent and yet these type of things interest me, you may want to change the title wink

There is some great stuff on there!
I am going to forward the article about the anxious child to my friend whose son, my kids best friend, is exactly as described. I've bookmarked your blog and want to keep reading as you update - good work! I'm involved in early literacy products (I design them) and we like to keep abreast of current thinking in stuff like the learning styles (now perhaps being challenged?) - I will orgnote you a link to our stuff tomorrow smile

Thanks ZombieKitten!

If you or your friend have any questions regarding the anxiety that your son's friend is having, then please feel free to submit a post to the article and I'll respond as soon as I see it.

I look forward to your orgnote... however, would it be possible for you to submit your note on my blog? I'm trying to stir up some traffic on the site and really, really hope other parents, teachers and students share their thoughts as well.

Thanks again for checking out the page.. am looking forward to seeing what you do!
