  • I had a nice dinner with my parents and a family friend.
  • I gave my friend my old iPhone and this made her very happy, so that was nice to see.
  • I saw my shrink and that's always good.
  • I seem to have finally learned that the best thing to do with somebody who's acting out is not to engage.
  • I listened to The Howard Stern Show and that's always good!
  • Most importantly, I have great family and friends, my health, food on my table and a roof over my head. I am on track for the kind of retirement I want. I am one lucky dude.

You've got to be one of most positive people I know. It's a very inspiring quality.

I didn't have to send a single child to their bedroom yesterday.

It was bizarre. The kids came home from school. Unpacked their bags, got out of their school clothes, the whole family hung out outside. We played street hockey, baseball, and took turns walking Madi around in her stroller. Cooked on the grill, had some beverages. Not one kid bawled over a thing or even whined. We ate our dinner, had a nice dessert, watched an episode of Roseanne and off to bed Noah and Daisy went. Without ONE episode. Perfect, yet strange evening.

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

I got a kick ass stainless steel french door fridge complete with icemaker/water, bottom freezer and separate deli drawer. Retail price was $3000, but I paid $375 since my brother works for Maytag and hooked me up with a major discount. woot!

I've had a good week so far... my list is long, but here's my top 3 -

I had a lovely relaxing (and slightly drunken) weekend away with my husband and another couple.

I finally chose and ordered a new staircase and the building work is set to start next week excited

My children have kept their bedrooms clean and tidy for 3 days in a row and helped clean out the gerbils without complaints! woot!

My prayers have FINALLY been answered

First Dallas Trader Joe’s will open by the end of 2011

After years of speculation, Trader Joe's is finally coming to Dallas, with a plan to open multiple locations in the big three: Dallas, Austin, and Houston.

According to a Dallas Morning News story, which is behind a paywall, the initial rollout will include 10 stores in Texas, and the first store in Dallas will open within the year; they're looking at both inside the city limits and suburbs.

Anticipation that Trader Joe's might enter Dallas has raged ever since Aldi moved into the Dallas-For...ea in 2010. The two companies share a loose corporate connection.

'Twasn't always so. For most of my life, I only saw what I didn't have (the irony, of course, is that these things never would've brought me happiness). I'm still what most people would call a "cynic" and I'm somewhat of a misanthrope, but I certainly appreciate what I have and do my best to share the wisdom I've acquired.

Coming from you, that is high praise. Thanks!

I passed 2nd year Chem with a B-, not a C+ as I thought...

I finished all my exams

I bought a new bathing suit

And today...I blew 108 $ on a bottle of Coco Mademoiselle....

I had some money saved up...and I think I deserve a toy for working so hard. And I do like the finer things in life..cloud9

My mom had her colonoscopy on Monday and there was no cancer or polyps. That was awesome news during ths battle! There is still more testing to do but we will take every little victory right now!

We rescued a ten year old Yorkie who needed a new home. The person who had her is going through a divorce and couldn't take her with her when she moved. I should be getting her within the next week.

Yesterday, was my wedding anniversary and an abosolutely gorgeous day. Hubby and I went out to dinner and then had some real fun biggrin

I was carrying a B+ in my managerial accounting class. It was my only B and driving me insane. After an exam and quiz this week, I brought it up to an A-. I put in a lot of hard work so I'm excited about that.

Tomorrow, I'm going with my mother-in-law and step daughter to a mother/daughter luncheon at church and then off to do a little shopping.

Sunday, we will be spending Mother's Day with both sides of the family. I am looking forward to that.

My project finished early Wednesday morning, so this work week was only two and half days long!

I replaced my laptops hard drive, which was no easy task, without any problems!

Dyson mailed me a free replacement hose for our vacuum!

The IRS didn't levy my bank account this week!

I fixed the sprinkler system! (I did have problems with that one, but I came out on top!)

I had lots 'o sex!

I remembered a lot of memories from when my son was little, things I had forgotten about for so long. They made me smile and cry!

My father was able to not be a jerk for a total of about two hours when we visited him this week!

The Lightning swept that Capital ass!

after three straight losses, the Yankees are still in first place!

I'm choking on some Mango deliciousness this week!

my wife made fresh moo shu pork & chicken fried rice from scratch!

we celebrated our third legal year of happy, healthy, loving, funny married life!

I smoked a Padron 1926 serie cigar, it was fantastic.

I went to visit my best friend and her newborn baby girl.

On a more selfish, shallow note - I bought that crazy ass work out DVD series "Insanity" about a year ago but have been too chicken to try it. This week I did my first "Insanity" work out and did not die.
