I never knew how to play with dolls. Whenever I'd get one, I'd tell my mum to give it to someone else. However, when I was about 7 years old I wanted to have one of those fancy Barbies (the one with the flower dress, and that princess with the looong hair, can't translate it's name now) and I got them, but I only enjoyed doing their hair every once in a while and putting their clothes on. I simply couldn't play with them and I'm always kind of confused when I see how many Barbies and other dolls some of my friends have had and played with during their childhood, while I just hoped nobody would get me any kind of doll I loved it when someone would get me something to draw with, books, notebooks, animated movies, and I also loved stuffed animals. But never knew what to do with Barbies

I never really played with my barbies, unless I was playing with friends.

When my kids were little and my daughter started school, my son was like 4, after she would goto school, he couldnt wait to go play with her barbies Hed always ask me not to tell her but the funny thing is, she would come home and theyd be all naked and hair messy and she would have a COW cuz she just knew he played with them!! I swear she layed traps cuz shes come crying to me.. I DID NOT LEAVE HER IN THIS OUTFIT! I miss those days

I would set up homes, jobs, grocery stores, marriages and just play all day! I would even do barbie laundry!!!

My imagination was in the beautiful, handmade outfits I would create for them.

It was actually my favorite thing to do as a child. My mom and grandmother taught me to sew when I was about 4. I could even put elastic in skirts and sew snaps on and everything.
