Doctor Who fans...(PRB has finally watched.. discuss away, *spoiler alert*) Who is/was your favourite Doctor...?
Hands down for me, David Tennant.(#10) I was never a fan, back in the day....it kind of freaked me out 
I only knew one Doctor, Tom Baker. When it started back up, i got used to Christopher Eccleston, and didnt want to see him go.... Until, along came David Tennant.... 
I laughed, i cried...to me, he IS the Doctor... RIP Doctor 10, I will miss you. Matt Smith, you have big boots to fill!!!! Dont F*%k it up [Edited 2/24/10 2:07am] [Edited 4/17/10 5:31am] seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before   | |

I had a Tom Baker action figure and a TARDIS, kept it all those years. 
When Dr Who came back on, and my girls got into it, they started playing with it. But the doors fell off the TARDIS and one of Tom's legs has vanished. 
"It was old anyway.." said medium child... Then I rented an old Tom Baker story on DVD, Daleks, six half hour episodes, pretty poor quality, but entertaining. In one scene (in a dis-used quarry! ) the Dr stands on a landmine. Cue cliff hanger ending! 
"Maybe that's how he lost his leg..." said medium child.... | |

I tried a few eps back in the early '80s, but they were just sooo campy, and I wasn't sure what to make of the certain British... um... sensibility. I'd like to try again now when I get free time. I could appreciate the cultural nuance more now, so I'll either love it or hate it with more intentionality.
...And, oh yeah, David Tennant is hot in a sort of goofy, wiry Callum Blue-on-haggis-and-maybe-an-illicit-drug-or-two sort of way.

Question: When the Doctors switch from one to the next, does that mean the current Doctor dies? Haggis is an illicit drug. It's renowned for it's hallucinogenic properties. That's how kilts were invented. When a Doctor regenerates it is not a plot device to enable a change of actors. No no no. All very scientific. To do with atoms and stuff probably. | |

And thank goodness they thought of it, or it'd be relegated to a creaky old black and white kid's sci-fi show that ended in 1966. Wait til the new series, even the Tardis regenerates
