I dont know about you all but I'm addicted to all things yankee candle and all things that are white barn candle co which is part of the bath and body works company.. I can never walk by either one of those damn stores without buying a fucking jar candle.. all the signs taunt me with there "try our new spring scent jar candle" Bitch I already know there are spring scents that are new but ya gotta stop advertising this way I have enough! I do burn them all year round and I do seem to go through a lot... what can I say not only do they smell pretty but they are relaxing and romantic... anyway today I got suckered in again bought a jar candle from yankee some kind of pear scent love it I watching it right now.. Oh well I guess there could be worse habbits..

Honey, I used to sell Partylite. You do the math on that! hahaha

I still have those blue boxes around my house. In fact, I have some Partylite in my new bathroom. (Click the link. The zebra is Partylite. I have a beautiful elephant that goes with that, which I just pulled out of a box.)

I love the smell of candles, but I never use them that much. I can be a little absent minded at times. I'm scared I might leave the house with them still lit.

I love Yankee Candle!
I'm hooked on their plug-ins, too. I'm always checking for new scents.
Right now I have Vanilla Lime all over the house. Before that, it was Buttercream, then Cinnamon for the holidays. As soon as these die out, it's Lavender Lemon.


I bought the Yankee Candle lip balm, too. I had Buttercream and Black Cherry, but one of those #$%^&* caused my lips to crack worse!

so, funny story.....

back when Erin and I were driving a Uhaul from Cambridge, MA to Spring Hill, FL, we took a short break at an outlet mall somewhere in the Carolinas I think. There was a Yankee Candle store there, and we went in. While browsing, it was Erin's idea to go to the Uhaul and get lifted. We had this super dee duper Northern Lights for the ride. So, we do that and go back to the store.

After smelling Yankee Candles for about TWO HOURS, we finally walked out of there with about SIX dozen tarts, hours behind schedule.





We still have dozens of those damn tarts.

However, when I do buy candles, I tend to gravitate toward scents that are either very light (fresh linen or verbena, for example) or masculine (a la Yankee's Midsummer's Night - which I think smells like a men's cologne). Nothing sweet or heavily floral - and I hate anything vanilla scented.
