I tend to gravitate toward natural smells, like grass, coffee beans, ocean breeze, sandalwood, rose, etc. No food smells, nothing fruity. Just au natural type stuff. I want my house to smell "natural", like nature, not artificial. Nothing intrusive, just "everyday".

You can get those car jar things in the uk for about £2.75 a pack, so they're pretty much the same price. I buy those, make a tiny V cut in the top, pull out the string and hang them down the back of my radiators. When I come home, the house smells great and they last for ages because they're only opened a tiny bit. Great way of freshening your house without lighting candles all the time. The cinnamon & sugar one's are ace.
