Terrell Owens - QBs kept him from Rice's records

T.O. played with some Pro Bowl QBs - maybe not HOF-caliber like Montana/Brady/Manning, but solid nonetheless. Dude needs to look in the mirror.

The Saints defensive coach, Gregg Williams, is talking a lot of smack about hitting Peyton. Dumbass. Go ahead, blitz Manning and see what happens. Once he figured what the Jets were doing, it was all over.

The only way they can contain Manning is by not being predicatble because if they are he will dissect that defensive and pick 'em apart.

I love Brees and Manning but I guess I'm leaning toward the Saints out of sympathy. The City of New Orleans could use a boost.

Saints wasted that quarter that they otherwise dominated.
They'll long for some of those potential 15 points they left on the field in the first half.

Looks like the "curse" is broken. smile Football's season over and I missed over half the games this season. sad The other thread talked about the SB commercials and the Halftime Show. Boring commercials and The Who sounded half dead out there. The only commercial that I thought was alright was the Doritos one where the man was in the coffin watching the game. They need to stop playing safe w/ the Halftime shows. As much as I hate Lil Wayne, I think I would rather have seen him out there than how The Who performed. The light show was pretty, but the band didn't have much energy. They didn't fit the mood of a superbowl game.

In more ways than one. Like I said in the other thread, the Saints are the first team ever to win the Super Bowl after losing to the Tampa Bay Bucs.

As much as I hate Lil Wayne, I think I would rather have seen him out there than how The Who performed.

Hell. no. I'd rather have Elvis Presley's reanimated corpse than Lil Wayne... and I'm not even an Elvis fan. lol

(my post from the thread that was locked)

Peyton Manning continues his legacy as an overrated, corporate endorsed, non-deserving of ANY of his MVPs, stats are a result of pussified rules in the quarterback era of the NFL, big head Tom Hanks looking choker in the big game since his days as a UT Vol. woot!

And AlexaDeParis, miss me with that one Superbowl that you say Peyton won. rolleyes The Colts DEFENSE won that ring, just like it happended for the Ravens, the Bucs, and the Giants. Peyton didn't deserve the MVP for that Superbowl. He didn't deserve this year's (Chris Johnson) last years (Rivers or Brees) the year he shared it with McNair (Co-MVP? Be for real rolleyes )

Yeah, felt the same about Brett Favre when he shared with Barry Sanders. Like they just wanted to give him the 3 straight MVP record but couldn't justify not recognizing Barry Sanders so hey, let them share it.

At least the NFL & the american football fans got it right with giving Drew Brees the 2010 SuperBowl MVP! wink

Peyton may not be Montana or Unitas(yet), but he's still one of the best in the game right now.

I heard about Sapp. I'll wait until all the facts come out.

Sure. shrug but look at this list and tell me if you notice a trend. Over the years the rules have become so favored towards the quarterbacks and the receivers that a defender can't even look sideways without a penalty being thrown. No quaterback, including Manning, is as good as their stats. It's mostly media hype. Media is telling you that QBs are the royalty of the NFL. Pay them the big bucks. Give them the endorsements. Give them the MVP awards. Give them the rules that keep them on the field because people are coming to see Tom Brady, not the New England Patriots.

How dare Haynesworth, a defensive player, be paid so much money? rolleyes

Still a bitter Squeakhawk fan. I suppose last year's Super Bowl was
a ref fix too ha. falloff
Well you,Mike Holmgren and the ultimate crybaby Matt Hasselbeck can
comfort each other over some beer together because it's in the books and if the
Squeakhawks were all that they would have been back in the Super Bowl
by now. Sorry maybe better luck with the Sonics. Oops sorry they
play in Oklahoma City now. lol

Peyton is one of the best in the game despite his big game shortcomings
but i can understand why some football fans are tired of the media man
love for him because of his football roots. Peyton had one of the best
seasons i've ever seen him play this year and he just came up one
game short.
