Something about the touch screen bugs me, I don't think I'll like it. But I should try it first. I'm not ready to let go of buttons just yet lol

It's that good, huh? hmmm

iPhone.

It's just a shame you have to sign a contract with AT&T when you buy it. I bought a first gen iPhone and told the AT&T store that'd i'd activate from home (you can also use iTunes to sign up with AT&T). Came home and promptly unlocked it and put my T-Mobile sim in. Works like a charm since.

I thought Apple bricked all the iPhones that weren't signed up with AT&T?

Well, there's software you can find to unlock your iPhone and use whichever sim you want (T-Mobile included). And Apple is now selling the iPhone without contracts for $599 (8GB version) and $699 for the 16GB model.

As for Blackberry, a friend of mine has one of those (with Verizon) and the "cell phone" reception is terrible.

If they tried, it didn't work for the first gen. As I said, it's been unlocked since I first bought it (though, I wasn't part of the geeks that camped out for it). I don't have the second gen 3G model, so I can't verify.

Get a Blackberry. nod Especially the new Blackberry Curve drool I've got an older model Curve & the reception on mine is perfect, & I don't know anyone who's had shitty reception with one.

And I know people who are using unlocked phones with TMobile, no problem. I went with ATT, but when I was canceling and told them why, Tmobile actually offered to basically talk me through unlocking it. lol

I'm with AT&T.I kinda want an iPhone but right now I am satisfied with my GlobalMoto (it's basically just a blackberry).I've had it for a year now and no complaints.

You get used the the iPhone in time. I've had one for about 18 months and I still have the occasional issue but it's worth it!

Wait a couple months and buy a Palm Pre as soon as it comes out. That phone will be the king.

I have the Blackberry Bold. AT&T contract.
My reception is fine, internet is fine. I've used the camera. But the back falls off- I took it back, and he said it's a "factory defect". I talked to other BB Bold users, and ALL of our backs have fallen off. I bought a skin to hold it on. neutral
Oh, and, U can't use the disc (for music and stuff like that) with a Mac. Thank goodness I have an iPod.

Blackberry is the new Burberry. Chav-tastic.

Get the iphone, but wait until June for the new hardware and firmware.

I am trying to make this very decision. Got tired of Verizon and their hidden fees showing up on regularly on my phone bill mad. Already have the Touch which leads me to think I'll miss buttons too if I get an iPhone.

I bought my iPhone from a private owner on Craigslist so that I wouldn't be chained to anyone's 2-year contract. It costs a bit more to buy like that, but the freedom is worth it, I think.

I unlocked it so that I can use Rogers as my carrier in Canada; T-Mobile in the States. And I've had no problems.

You get used to the touchscreen. My only real complaint is that the big, wide exposed screen just screams "Crack me! Crack me!" I bought an iSkin with a thin film to cover the screen, though, and I've had not so much as a scratch. There also are some pretty cool skins that come with a sort of flap cover.

Always put it in your pocket with the screen to your leg/body.

You won't have any problems then.
