What Will U Be Doing This Christmas?

I know it's probably a little early to ask...but what will u be doing for the Holidays? Are u going on a vacation to a warmer climate...visiting friends or realtives across state or travelling to another country, or just stopping by the neighbours for a drink? Or are u going to stay home on ure own, drink lots of eggnog and stuff ureself with sugar cookies?

I am sure both my sisters will have a certain kind of homie feeling and will ask me over, but I feel like staying in.
I have been stockpiling LOADS of books the last month and I am sure that when Xmas comes I will have LOADS of fun marking my favourite TV programs in the Radio Times. The BBC is big on holiday blockbusters, so I am sure I won't have to be bored. Just me and my two cats and a beautiful Xmas tree...I love that.

I'm interning at a puerperium ward until the 21st and after that I'm just gonna chill at my appartment, go shopping, prob. alone, watch movies and stuff..

On the 24th I'm going to do a morning shift at some hospital or somewhere, go visit my mom and prob. my ex's family to celebrate christmas..
Next morning a morning shift again and then I'm going to visit my dad's "cabin" in Northern Finland with my brothers and their girlfriend..

I'm gonna ride this baby: woot!

I'm not sure yet. My play runs until 12/21, so it's hard for me to plan anything.

I'm hoping to have my sister and her family for Christmas Eve dinner. I have a recipe for braised pork shoulder with quince that I'm dying to make.

Christmas Day...who knows? I may go to one of my sisters' houses...or just decide to collapse at home.

Christmas Eve, my extended family of 17, gather at my older sister Angela's house. We bring a few special select presents and open them at mid-night! We usually eat tamales or some special dinner, that my aunt makes us. We gather around the table..spread out in to the living room, eat drink and be very merry!!! Christmas morning, we go to my other sister's house, she makes us all a special Christmas breakfast/brunch that we enjoy around 11am. Then we sit around till about 3 and enjoy the gifts we received the night before, and play with the little kids in the family. (all those new shiny special toys!) God, I am so lucky to have such a wonderful extended family. Around 3 we all head to our own homes (we all live within 10 minutes of one another) and have left overs for dinner, and sleep! cloud9

Last year we were sat waiting for 'bump' to reveal himself to the world. This year we will be spending it at home. I am really looking forward to our first Christmas with Charlie. He will be just about to turn one so will be into everything.

Hanging out with my mom and dad and sister an hour and a half south of here. Same as always.

I'm an atheist, and I get more tired of the whole xmas spectacle every year. But as long as my family celebrates it, I'll show up and be happy for the time with them.

As far as I know I'm staying home and having a quiet holiday with my family and friends.
Hopefully Meggy and her family will be here but that's not definite.
We always go to a Joe Strummer tribute right before Christmas. That's a tradition we try not to miss, we might go to the one in Toronto this year. Oh, and the Rockettes Christmas show is coming to town, I would love to take the girls to see that.
If there is snow we will definitely go sledding and snowboarding. Ice skating if it's cold enough.
We might get a little weekend trip to NYC for a little shopping after Thanksgiving. Or a few days extra in Toronto to shop and see a show or two.

I love the holidays.

Flying out to the east coast on xmas eve to meet up with my family and son (he is going out there earlier in the week). I'll be without my little man for 5 days - the longest we've ever been apart. I'm dreading it. sad

We'll be coming home 5 days later.

My kids get out of school on the 19th which is my oldest's birthday. We'll have Christmas here at home and then they're going to visit their dad on the 26th.

I am taking a little trip of my own too.
